A Feng Shui Expert Can Guide you on the Right Path

Every aspect of our life consists of dual forces that govern and regulate our day to day existence. For every form of female (Yin) energy there is a complimentary and contradictory male (Yang) force and for everything positive there is some form of negativity counter balancing it. Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice that works towards balancing these dualities along with the various elements to bring harmony and prosperity in the various aspects of our life like health, wealth, career and personal relationships. Each of the elements like the earth, wind, water and fire, govern various parts of our existence. If water is useful for activating the career luck, then fire is known to control our passions. A Feng Shui expert is well qualified to accurately balance the elements and energies around you and your living space to provide the best guidance in each area of your life.

Each individual has a specific number that guides his life and this is known as the kua number. A Feng Shui expert can accurately calculate your number and accordingly find out the lucky and unlucky directions in respect to the four major aspects of your life. Each direction controls a certain area of your life and in turn, the benefits of this area can be enhanced or diminished through the use of various colors and objects. A Feng Shui expert is the best guide in case you need advice for activating any area of your life, like your career for example. Only an expert will have the necessary knowledge and competence to correctly gauge your problem and effectively solve it through Feng Shui tips and elements.

Feng Shui is a powerful and potent tool that can work wonders for any individual. However, the reverse is also true because the wrong interpretation and implementation of the principles can back fire, causing more harm than good. Each of the elements is a powerful agent by themselves and a wrong combination can cause havoc in your life. Fire, for instance, is the element that rules the passion of an individual, but too much of the fire element in the house and specifically in the bedroom can cause serious fights and misunderstanding between couples. Hence, it is always better to be safe than sorry and get the guidance of a Feng Shui expert as and when required to rectify a problem or enhance the advantages.

A Feng Shui expert uses many kinds of objects and knickknacks in order to bring about peace, harmony and prosperity to an individual’s living space. However, not everyone knows the authentic from the copy and many people end up buying the fake Feng Shui items, which cannot serve the desired purpose. Only an expert has the knowledge and competence to judge the original from the fake and give you the desired results through Feng Shui tips. Hence, select an expert with care and soon you will find your life turning around for the better, by properly harnessing the positive impact of the elements and dissipating the negativity.

Feng Shui In The Home – Is It The Right Style For You?

The use of feng shui in the home is the source of some debate for many would-be home decorators. Some people believe in its healing powers while others think it’s nothing more than the lastest hyped up fad.

However, if you are like most people and don’t have a strong opinion either way about this subject, then allow me to shed some light. Below is an explanation of what feng shui is and what it represents. But more importantly, you’ll be able to determine if it right for you and whether you should you use feng shui in the home.

Feng shui in the home can be a source of relief for some people and disbelief for others. Some home decorators swear that balancing the five elements (wood, water, fire, metal and earth) creates warmth and harmony.

One key aspect of this balancing act consists of using colors and shapes that represent the elements and rearranging furnishings to complete the effect. Other decorators, however, are more skeptical and see feng shui in the home as just hogwash. They don’t believe it is neccessarily to have all the blancing in place to create a beautiful room.

So, which side of the fence do you come down on? Does feng shui in the home have any appeal to you? If so, are you drawn to it because you feel that you need balance in your life? Or do you simply seek a new creative twist for decorating your home? Either way, feng shui may still be worth trying.

Feng shui stresses creating an enivironment of harmony in the home. By melding the five elements together in a productive and harmonious cycle, you just might enjoy their pleasing characteristics. Feng shui advocates say that, if your home is dominated by only one or two of the elements instead of having them all represented, the home’s level of “Chi” will be weakened. This, in turn, could result in problems for those living there.

So what do you think? Does this have any appeal to you? If not, no problem, but you could be missing out on something that could also be a lot of fun.

Whether you’re looking for spiritual counsel and view feng shui as a possible answer, or if you’re simply tired of the way your home looks now and desire a more flowing design, feng shui could help. Of course, some feng shui advocates believe that, if you are not seeking balance in your life, you should bypass feng shui decorating all together.

There’s certainly no reason to take that advice. While feng shui may not serve its original intent, it can still result in absolutely beautiful rooms. The rooms in your home can flow seamlessly and seem more uniformed, instead of looking like a messy garage with items and accessories all jumbled. The great thing about feng shui is that it can help bring a finished and polished look to rooms that seemed disorganized.

So, is feng shui the right style for you? It your choice, but I think it’s more than worthy of a try.

Feng Shui Bedroom Design- Getting it Right

Different forms of energies are everywhere around you, and if you know how to utilize these energies, you will be able to enrich your life in a great way. Feng Shui is one way of utilizing the energy, as it tells you how to design every corner of your home for better effects.

Employing feng shui design tips in the way you layout your bedrooms can have a profound impact on the flow of energy. This unique science focuses on creating a perfect balance between negative and positive energy by utilizing spaces efficiently. You’ll find that when you employ these principles in your bedroom design it will not only be practical but could also enrich your life by creating a harmonious flow of energy through the environment.

There are many things that can affect the flow of energy in your bedroom. The position of your bed for example is one of the most crucial elements that will determine the flow of energy. The experts in this particular field suggest that your bed should be kept in the command position. This is so that it enables you to derive the desired level of energy that flows through your room.

What is the command position? The fact of the matter is that you may not always be able to get everything right according to Feng Shui principles. Ideally speaking, the perfect command position would be the furthest diagonally opposite space from the entrance of your bedroom. This is a good place to rest your bed as it keeps you at a good distance from the entrance while making sure that you are in direct reach of the harmonious flow of energy. Keep in mind, it is not recommended to place your bed right opposite the door as that will overexpose you to the flow of energy.

If possible, you should strive to have a full-scale wall behind your bed. This will allow you to lean on the wall as you sit on your bed and thus provide you with a comprehensive visual command of your bedroom. This is important symbolically as well as physically.

Another thing that you need to watch out for is your bedroom window. Feng Shui experts suggest that the window should ideally appear on the right side of your bed and not directly above it. Again, the object of placing the bed in this manner is so that you derive positive energy in the desired quantity from the window along with the door.

However, the manner in which your bedroom is designed may not always enable you to employ these principles as they are. This is where you have to take the advice of a professional Feng Shui expert who will be able to create improvised solutions for your bedroom. Similarly, you can consult the professional to help you with the layout of the entire house or even your office space so as to benefit from the fine balance of positive and negative energy which Feng Shui interior design helps to accomplish.

Feng Shui Living Room – Creating The Right Atmosphere For Family Bonding

To be the one room in a  home that brings the entire family together is the ultimate purpose of the feng shui living room. This particular room also serves as the place where you may entertain guests. So as to make it more inviting and be an area where people gather and socialize, the space has to be transformed in a way that promotes conversation and brings people together. Basic feng shui principles should be utilized to do exactly that. A variety of techniques may be applied to this area for the aim of connecting you to the people that are important to you.

The main piece of furniture in the living room is the sofa. The sofa is where you, your loved ones and your guests sit. The position of a sofa is critical in determining how ‘qi’ or energy will flow in the living room. You will find certain positions that aren’t ideal for the sofa. In particular, if the front entrance of the home leads into the living room and is directly in line with the windows of that room, it is never a good idea to position the sofa directly in between the two. Avoid placing the back of the sofa against windows or facing a door. Also be sure there are no exposed beams on the ceiling right above where you happen to be sitting. The very best position for any sofa should be to have its back against the wall and diagonally across the door. If there happens to be other sofas and chairs in the room, arrange them together in a semi-circular shape so that the people sitting there will be able to talk amongst each other.

There happens to be many other solutions to optimize the living room to your benefit. Lighting is another important part of this room, it must be bright so make sure that there will be lots of lights besides the natural lighting that comes through the windows. Good places for lights include corners and dark areas. Since the living room is associated with the family, this should be the perfect room to display lots of family photographs. Other great home decor items that needs to be included in this area of the home are artwork and live plants. Use the bagua map to discover the best locations to place these items. Finally, besides creating a prime location for the sofa, there should be a distinct centerpiece in the living room. Typically if your house is included with a fireplace, that is required to be the centerpiece of the room. If you don’t have a fireplace however, be sure to reserve that spot for the television or home entertainment center.

Use all of these great feng shui living room tips to make the most out of this family friendly room. Besides the important techniques discussed above, you must also remember to keep the area clutter free as you would for any other important room of the house. Clutter tends to make the ‘qi’ of a room stagnant so removing unnecessary items out of the living room is necessary to free up that energy.

Finding the Right Feng Shui Colors For Your Home

The key to finding the right feng shui colors for your home is to first learn two very important principles of feng shui. There are five elements in feng shui that influences us and our surroundings. These five elements are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. We need to create balance between these elements in order to achieve harmony in those surroundings. The Bagua is a tool that helps locate different areas of a room or the entire home that corresponds to different areas of your life. Simply use this tool to determine the areas of your room or home that needs changing and make the necessary changes to improve your life. Finding the right colors is easy as long as you are able to use these two principles together.

According to Chinese astrology, each person is born under a year which is associated with one of the five elements. Each element is then represented by one or more colors. The five elements interact with each other in both a productive cycle and a destructive cycle. The productive cycle shows how each element creates or produces another while the destructive cycle shows how each element destroys or is destroyed by another. Once you know the colors representing each element, you will be able to figure out the colors you should surround yourself with and the colors you should stay away from. Incorporate more colors representing your own element as well as the colors of the element that produces your element. Stay away from the colors representing the element that destroys your own element.

Wood: Green, Brown
Fire: Red, Bright Strong Yellows, Orange, Pink, Purple
Earth: Light Yellow, Light Brown, Light Sandy Tan
Metal: White, Gray, Silver
Water: Blue, Black

Feng shui colors are also used to represent the eight sections of the Bagua. This tool can be used by holding it with the black section facing you and the red section pointing to the direction straight in front of you while standing at the entrance of either an individual room or the doorway of your home. You will be able to precisely map out the eight sections of that space and its corresponding areas of your life. Look for the areas of your life that needs improving. Incorporate more of the color used to represent that area in that particular section of the room or home. The diagram below shows us that the five elements are also used in the Bagua. This is important, because it will determine what kind of objects are appropriate for each given section of the room. Different areas of your life can be improved considerably by placing the right objects in the right places.
