Feng Shui Bedroom: Bringing Harmony to Your Life

Feng Shui has been used for thousands of years to improve the quality of life and bring harmony, among many other things, into the home. You can use Feng Shui in any area that you would like but many people use it in the bedroom.

Feng Shui is pronounced “Fung Shway” and can be used to help you sleep better and enhance your love life. If this sounds like something you would like to do to your bedroom, here are a few “rules” that you need to consider to help you achieve a feng shui bedroom.

Fengshui Tip Number One

The bed is the most important piece of furniture in the bedroom. Your bed should be in a command position. This means that your bed should be in complete view of the door but not in the direct line of the door. You also need to leave plenty of room on both side of the bed for each partner to get in and out of bed with ease.

Also, never have your bed in the position where your feet are facing the door. This is very bad Feng Shui. This position is called the death position because the dead are usually carried out by their feet.

Fengshui Tip Number Two

It is best if you choose to have your bedroom in the farthest room from the door. This is said to give the mind more security because there is that much more distance between anything coming in the door and you sleeping in bed.

It is extremely bad Feng Shui to have you bedroom facing the front door. However, sometimes we have no real choice where the bedroom is located but you can still use other tips to Feng Shui your bedroom.

Fengshui Tip Number Three

Remove the clutter. Any kind of clutter that reaches over your head that can make you feel uneasy therefore you need to clean anything that should not be piled up on your dresser or side tables. The clutter will prevent the Chi from flowing naturally as it should.

Anything in your bedroom that has to do with other things that do not have to do with sleep or the bedroom should be taken out. For example if you have work related items in your room, they need to be taken out. Computers, televisions and other electronics do not belong in the bedroom either.

These are three of the best tips that can be given for those who want to turn their bedrooms into a Feng Shui paradise. Not only will Feng Shui improve your life but using Feng Shui in the bedroom can help improve your sleep habits so that you wake up feeling more rested and fully regenerated.

There are many other things you need to consider when if you intend create a feng shui bedroom. Make sure you do as much research as you can before you begin. You need to know what you are doing and how to do it before you get started. You do not have to be a believer for Feng Shui to work wonders in your life.

Do You Feel Stuck In Your Life?

If you are feeling stuck in your life or career, structures in your home may be (at least partially) to blame. Structures such as beams, staircases and pillars can negatively affect the flow of chi in your space and lead to illness, financial difficulty, problems in your career, and trouble sleeping. Let’s look at these three features in a home and some Feng Shui cures you can use to alleviate their negative effects.

Ceiling Beams Can Cause Illness

Some homes have exposed ceiling beams, either functional or decorative. When these beams are located above a desk, bed, or important seat, they can lead to illness, injury, or simply a feeling of being “stuck” in your life.

For instance, if a beam crosses your bed above your legs, you may face an injury that inhibits your ability to move or a car accident. A beam over your head may lead to headaches. Exposed beams crossing a bed are worse than those that run parallel.

To minimize the impact, paint the beams the same color as the ceiling or place flutes at 45 degree angles to the beam, or vertically with the flute’s mouthpiece pointing toward the ceiling.

Staircases Lead to Financial Trouble

Staircases in the center of a house or directly in line with your front door cause chi to rush out of the house too quickly. If the door is far enough away from the staircase (more than twice the height of the tallest person in your house) it won’t cause problems. But if the staircase is closer, you may experience financial difficulties. You can place a wind chime or round faceted crystal ball in the space between the stair case and door to alleviate these negative effects.

If your stairs have treads, they should also have risers — in other words, the treads should be connected so the chi can move freely up the stairs.

Pillars Create Obstacles

Pillars that obstruct your movement through a space can also block your movement forward in life. If you find a pillar creating obstacles in your career, finances or personal relations, you can add mirrors to its surface or cover it with artificial vines or flowers, in essence creating a tree.

Not all pillars create obstructions. Round pillars placed to the sides of a door, positioned as guardians but not blocking the entrance, elevate the chi of the entrance.

Add a Spark to your Love Life With Feng Shui Romance Tips

Our personal relationships form the core of our support group and when we have our loved ones besides us, we can face any situation in life. When an individual has his loved ones around him he gets the motivation to do better, has a higher confidence in himself, feels appreciated and loved and his self worth increases. It is no wonder therefore that people give so much importance to love and romance. However, things are not always hunky dory between partners and problems may occur. Effort needs to be taken to ensure that the bond remains strong and the relationship is full of love and positive vibes. Also it may so happen that an individual may not have found his soul mate yet and is still searching for the right person. Whether it is to strengthen an existing relationship or to attract new love into your life, Feng Shui romance tips can make a world of difference to your life.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice that helps to balance the energies and elements in and around our living space. Every element like air, water, earth and fire has been assigned a particular direction, color and property. Each element also exerts control over certain aspects of our life like health, wealth, personal relationships and career. So if you want to positively influence your relationships and love life then Feng Shui romance tips might be a potent tool for you. Some of the objects that can be used as powerful Feng Shui romance tips are the mandarin ducks, crystals, etc. If the pair of ducks is kept in a couple’s bedroom it enhances their relationship and strengthens the bond between partners.

The south western corner has an influence on our relationships and marriage. If you place a clear crystal or pink amethyst in this corner then it acts as an enhancing factor for the relationships. Even little gestures can make a difference to your life and your relationships. Flowers are a great way to activate positive vibes in any living space. It is desirable to keep fresh flowers or even silk or artificial flowers in your home or office. However dead or dried flowers are extremely negative for your surrounding and thorny plants like the cactus can cause arguments within the family. Leafy green plants are also symbolic of a healthy and nurturing family but avoid placing too many plants or greenery in the south western corner as excess of it may be detrimental to your relationship.

Placement of any object in pairs in this particular corner is an effective Feng shui romance tip. However, make sure that if any one of the pair is broken it is immediately replaced. Also, completely avoid placing any object in a group of three as it may indicate the presence of a third person in your relationship that causes infidelity problems. If you are unmarried then effective romance tips include peonies, which can attract love into your life. Whatever may be the tips that you are using, the prime consideration should be that you consult an expert before implementing any tips or it may backfire causing more damage than benefits.

Feng Shui Tips for Attracting Love into Your Life

For enhancing your love life, increase passion and harmony in your existing relationships or marriage, to attract more energies to find your perfect mate or just to generally attract more romance, there are many feng shui tips that can help.

These feng shui tips work by creating a good balance of yin and yang—female and male energies. If activated and enhanced, it leads to happiness in personal relationships. Whether you are seeking to strengthen an existing relationship or planning to attract a new love or more romance, feng shui tips can be used easily and effectively.

There are many ways of activating the love and relationships area. Here are a few tips. Images of you and your partner in photo frames or paintings are ideal for bedroom feng shui. Furniture in the bedroom should also be soft with no hard or sharp edges. You should also avoid placing any kind of electronic device or equipment in the bedroom as it can disrupt the peace and intimacy of the room.
This means no tvs or computers!

Entertainment in the form of television, radios, computers and video games kill the intimacy of a bedroom. Read romantic poetry instead for preparing you mentally for romance. These feng shui tips are most effective if you visualize and clear any mental negativity that could block your chances of love.

Bedding is also key to creating a good, intimate, romantic atmosphere. Treat yourself to plush fabrics and fluffy cushions that make you never want to leave your bed. Making your sleeping space a little bit smaller encourages you to snuggle more. Learn to prepare for company. Clear out a dresser or drawer, leave a few empty hangers, keep a spare set of toiletries. If you make your place inviting enough and give off a vibe that you are very willing to share your precious space, opportunities for romance will come.

A good symbol for increasing romantic energies is a figure of two mandarin ducks in the bedroom. The ducks symbolize marital happiness.

Crystals or reddish lights placed in the southwest corner of your house, together with lit candles and roses (without thorns, of course) are also simple ways of activating and enhancing personal relationships. Peonies are said to be a good cure in Feng Shui for enhancing love and relationships. Never place real flowers or plants in the bedroom however. If you must, fake flowers can be used.

Add a framed picture of your and your loved one in this area, to increase your fondness for each other even more. If you don’t have a partner but are looking to attract one, you can still display images of happy couples in this corner. Use these to replace solo pictures and sad, moody ones. Create cozy and intimate seating arrangements with sofas, chairs and love seats. A free flowing arrangement signifies that you are ready and open for a new relationship.

Make your relationship area—usually at the far right area of your home—intimate and inviting. Place a love seat and install mood lighting. Create an intimate and romantic atmosphere for your bedroom. Keep it a private retreat. Move pictures of your family, kids’ artwork, etc. someplace more fun and active. Use warm colors like pink and red to enhance your love life considerably. Use a wide array of color, from soft to bold, to enhance romance. Feng shui tips for colors that are optimal for boosting this energy are pink, salmon, coral, scarlet, crimson and burgundy.

Discover How Feng Shui Can Transform Your Life

Feng shui are wood, earth, metal, fire and water. When these five are balanced in your home, you have a better balance in your life and a better chance to have what you want out of life. Then your home is working for you and not the otherway around. The way to use these elements is to place them in the appropriate area of the home and give intention that they work for your particular cause. As well as merely placing the associated element in the appropriate spot in the home, there are two additional ways to use elements.

These two ways are; 1) the creative cycle, and 2) the destructive cycle. In the creative cycle order, one particular element”creates” another – like water “feeding” or creating wood. In the destructive cycle order, an element can overpower another as water”dousing” or destroying fire. In the creative cycle, water feeds wood, wood fuels fire, fire makes earth, earth creates metal, and finally, metal holds water. Using this information, if you want to work on getting a better reputation, having a fireplace in the fame and reputation gua would be a great cure (fire is the element for fame and reputation), other fire cures would be red items, objects such as candles, triangularly shaped items. If it is not practical or desirable to have a fireplace or other fire symbols there, you can use the element that “feeds fire,” which in this case, is wood.

Feng shui is particularly important in the bedroom as it’s a room that most of us spend more time in than any other – about a third of our lives in, and to most of us, the bedroom is also a room where we can hopefully escape from work, noisy children and the stresses of everyday life. A bedroom should be a room that is conducive to a good nights sleep, relaxation and perhaps romance. A dark, untidy and unwelcoming bedroom can create feelings of lethargy and depression, especially when you are asleep but your mind is still active. Before you even enter the bedroom itself, the doorway is important in feng shui. It is good to have a door that opens at least 90 degrees, anything less than this is considered restrictive and symbolically may prevent good luck or good opportunities from entering your life.

Practitioners of feng shui also suggest a device known as a ‘greeter’ in your bedroom. This is the first thing you see when you enter the bedroom, the focal point of the room – it could be anything from a large painting, photograph, fireplace or striking piece of furniture. As far as the decoration of your bedroom goes, try to avoid stimulating colors like red and gold on the walls – instead, use relaxing colors such as pastel blue, green or yellow. The position of the bed itself is extremely important in creating a peaceful and uncluttered environment for your bedroom. Most people instinctively know where to place their bed, taking into account the size and shape of the room, window and door placement, other furniture, overhead lighting, etc. These decisions as to where best to place a particular thing form many of the basics of feng shui. Feng shui practitioners also claim you are in the ‘command position’, meaning a feeling of confidence and power if you are able to see your bedroom door when you wake in the morning. However, it is not considered good to have your feet in direct alignment with the bedroom door – the ancient chinese considered this the ‘death position’. If you have an adjoining bathroom opening onto your bedroom, keep the bathroom door closed so nothing can subconsciously disturb your sleep.

Feng shui is all about living in harmony with our environment and keeping a balance in all things.Check this website today

Feng Shui- Wind Chimes To Better Your Life

Wind chimes are attributed to the Chinese, who over three thousand years ago made them to generate melodic sounds for their religious services. Feng Shui wind chimes are often made of wood and bamboo is the most widely used.

When hung in the proper place, bamboo wind chimes are said to contribute to your health. Natural healing powers are said to be one of the attributes of these chimes when they are hung in your doorways and windows. One of the ways to experience the mind healing powers is to stop and listen to the music that is generated by the breeze playing with the chimes.

The number of cylinders that a wind chime has is what decides the purpose of the chimes. Six to eight cylinders are said to bring good luck. Five tubes are often used to protect against bad luck. Although people tend to hang these feng shui items everywhere, placing them in a position where they face a certain star is considered the best place.

Stars are fire elements and by facing them, wind chimes made of wood receive sustenance that in turn makes good luck stream into your home and in turn into your life. Such items have long been considered to bring luck into the home in which they hang.

Not only are they considered to bring luck but wind chimes made of eight cylinders, hollowed and connected to a ship can bring wealth to the owner. The ship must be modeled after an ancient Chinese ship used for trading. It can be made from bamboo also. Rosewood is another good wood for making the ship.

In the same manner as one uses the bamboo one, metal wind chimes are not recommended because they can release bad luck. Rather than receiving the sustenance from the stars, they resist it.

The sounds from bamboo chimes can be quite soothing. If made of a thinner wood they produce a tinkling sound whereas the thicker wood makes a bong sound. Either way the sounds produced by them is said to have great results on clearing your mind and relieving stress.

Many bamboo ones are hand cut. Then they are tuned to produce wonderful sounds. Almost nothing else in the world is as soothing as the sounds from these items. Although many years ago, these sound makers were made of other items rather than metals or wood, that is the main way of making them today. Depending on the preference of the user, wooden ones are the most popular for Feng Shui practices.

Feng Shui wind chimes have become more popular over the last few years as people search for ways to improve their life. Searching for happiness, wealth, and good health has almost become an obsession. Not to mention finding love.

The studies of the past have suggested that wind chimes were a vital part of the Chinese history. A large part of Feng Shui is the belief in it. So if you believe that the placement of these feng shui tools will enhance your life, they may do just that.

How to Bring Positive Chi Into Your Life With Feng Shui

It is taking the world by storm. That is right, more and more people are joining the new age revolution and seeking out the help of Feng Shui to change their lives and bring balance into their world.

Meaning literally wind and water, feng shui is the ancient Chinese art of placement based upon a philosophy of the movement of chi or natural energy through our environments. While much of the art was recorded by Choo-he of the Song dynasty, it is thought that Feng Shui has much deeper roots.

By following the patterns of nature, a Feng Shui practitioner will advise on the placement of everything from an individual object in the home or workplace to the positioning of a building upon property. Feng Shui shows us how to support the flow of energy in our lives to improve our health, financial situation and love life.

1) How does it work?

Feng Shui works in a multiplicity of ways. At its very core however is the notion of properly locating manmade structures and objects in their natural environment so that man and nature work in harmony to optimize the universal energy.

The idea is that you take inspiration from the world around you to better your inner self and the circumstances in which you live.

Improving your life with Feng Shui is easy. To start this life changing journey, you first need to consider the basic framework, shape and structure of your home. Houses are all built differently, however, their form tends to resemble one of four basic patterns namely: a square, rectangle, L-Shape or U-Shape. The idea of Feng Shui is to transform your home into a square or rectangle.

Before you start any physical amendments to your family home, it is best that you sketch a blueprint of the changes you have in mind. You want to make sure that your home is going to benefit from Feng Shui in the fullest way possible.

Once you make changes they will be difficult to reverse. You need to be organized in preproduction to ensure you get it right the first time. Remember, you are changing your house and life for the better, not the worse.

On a large sheet of paper, draw a sketch of the home you wish to Feng Shui. Include any areas that jut out, such as a garage, or a greenhouse. Make note of any areas that cut into what would make a perfect square or rectangle, such as an alcove. Note where each room is when you make your drawing. All areas under a common roof are considered part of the house. And note where the front door is located.

If you live in a U-shaped or L-shaped home, you will need to make some adjustments because chances are that you are not fully experiencing some area of your life. The goal of Feng Shui is to restore balance and harmony, and one of the ways you can do this is by completing the square. To overcome the missing areas, you can build an arbor in the space, landscape with large potted trees or add a sculpture or wind chimes. This will help symbolically fill in the missing area.

2) Completing the square

In order to complete your square, you will fill in any area missing from your L-shaped or U-shaped drawing with dotted lines so you create a complete square. If you already have a rectangle or square home, you do not need to do anything to complete your drawing.

Once your house sketch is in the form of a square or rectangle, divide it into nine parts. Split the length into thirds, then split the width into thirds.

That is all that is required in sketching your own plan. Now you are ready to begin the process of Feng Shuiing your home or work space.

3) Some general tips

Once you have completed the square of the general lay-out of your home, there are plenty of smaller internal adjustments that will optimize the flow of good energy in your house. Here are five introductory tips to bringing feng shui into your home.

a) Indoor water features can be very powerful ways to enhance your life. By installing an indoor water fountain in your home and placing it in an open, central position you can attract the good things you want into your life.

b) Make sure shoes are not left lying outside your front door. It is important that the main door to your house is clear and open. If shoes, boots or slippers are left in the entry to your home, wind is likely to travel past the shoes, catching unpleasant odors, bringing bad energy and potentially illness into the home.

c) In the kitchen, make sure your stove is not positioned opposite to refrigerator or washbasin. Likewise your stove should not be opposite a washing machine or toilet. If it is, try to move it. The conflict between fire and water will lead to arguments and disagreements between couples and family members.

d) Remove television sets from all bedrooms. Televisions bring an unwanted further dimension to your room, which will absorb good energy.

e) Make sure there are no mirrors opposite your bed or at the side of your bed. Mirrors that are placed opposite your bed are thought to attract a third party into the relationship.

Feng Shui is gaining popularity in the Western world. Taking time to research this art to bring it into your home is certain help you find the harmony you need.
