Feng Shui Chinese Astrology: brighten up your future

What will you do if you get to know about your future? You will definitely be happy for good moments and tensed for the adverse conditions. But then if you know about them you can at least adopt some measure for its cure. Chinese Feng shui give you such measure to make your life go smooth and easy. Chinese zodiac also helps in giving some guidelines to brighten up your future.

Chinese zodiac and Chinese Feng shui have close association with each other. Both this Chinese concept works on the basis of interaction between five basic elements of energy named as fire, water, earth, wood and metal. It is believed that these five elements have the entire universe’s energy and a balance among these is the best condition for a person. These five elements are guiding Chinese culture since ages.

Feng shui believes that a perfect balance in inner and outer body environment is the best condition for living a happy and harmonious life. It believes in yin and yang theory and positions of substances surrounding you. According to this science, every object has some particular energy which is emitted if it is placed with proper orientation and perfect angle with surroundings. This energy called chi has effect on every act of yours. On the other hand Chinese zodiac believes in orientation of planets and other heavenly bodies, interaction between five elements, yin and yang, 12 animal signs and wu xing teachings.

These 12 animals in Feng shui are in particular order with rat being first and boar being last. There is a story behind this that is once Buddha called all animals for celebrating New Year’s Eve. But only 12 animals were successful reaching there. Although ox was very fast and supposed to reach first but then rat sat on his back and jump over to the destination, and ox became second. On this day only Buddha decided to give 12 zodiac names on the name of these animals.

Feng shui Chinese astrology requires birth location and time for giving any reports. Birth year will be in accordance with the 8 numbers representing 8 different compass directions. These numbers are called as patzu. Once having this information, a Feng shui expert analyzes bagua, an octagon shaped chart. The bottom of chart is in correspondence with the front door and accordingly he decides the location of house. With this he determines which objects to be kept where, positioning of water elements, plants and flowers. This also gives an idea about incorporating any objects like images, fountains, green plants or any other Feng shui products if required.

This Feng shui Chinese astrology determines the birth animal of the person with his birth date and according to the characteristics, behavior and attitude of that animal determines the person’s nature. With this color of the person’s home, type of furniture required and other elements can be decided. With such changes positive energy flows as such to accumulate maximum in your house and gives you vigor and power.

This Feng shui Chinese astrology is somewhat difficult to understand and comprehend for a normal individual as it requires extensive study of signs and Feng shui. It’s better for you consult a Feng shui expert for your predictions. These people very well understand about the interacting principles and guide you properly. After sometime you yourself can see the results and feel the positive energy within you. You can brighten up your future with this art and live a happy and harmonious life.

The Future Is Orange

Orange is France Telecom’s global identity for their mobile network and internet service provider department. This was acquired from the Hutchinson Telecom mobile phone network based in the United Kingdom and was originally called “Wanadoo”. After it was incorporated back in 2005, the identity was rebranded in 2006. The brand is the fifth biggest and most successful telecommunications provider globally, having reached well over 193 million customers in 32 countries in 2009.

Company Beliefs

Continuously building their relationships with customers and being a trusted commercial entity is the main goal of the company. Providing high quality services, growth, innovation and efficiency are the key elements that the company aims to offer their clients. Being a service-oriented telecommunications operator, the motto “I am who I am because of everyone” drives their marketing strategies and is the core of their offered services. The company claims that their brand offers dynamic, friendly and honest service to their myriad of clients all over the globe.

Logo and Slogan

A brand consultancy based in London (and has branches in New York City and Dubai as well) called Wolff Olins designed the logo and established the brand values. The WCRS advertising agency lead the conceptualization of the company slogan, namely “The Future’s bright, the Future’s Orange”.

The idea behind the brand’s modern advertising lies in its simple components. It is square simply to differentiate the name from “orange” as a fruit. It needed to be globally competitive even with other internationally-known big brands such as Hertz and Visa. The color orange was used not only to imply name retention in a subconscious manner but also because it is a strong Feng Shui color.

Academic Partnerships

In order to provide the best service and to enable innovation across the board in their subsidiaries, France Telecom partners up with several research and development firms as well as top-ranking universities not only in France but around the world.

France Telecom’s academic institute and university partnerships follow framework guidelines and agreements. These include INRIA, Supélec, CNRS, Ecole Normale Supérieure and others.

Orange believes in keeping their research and development teams trained and highly specialized. From the nearly 300 PhD postdoctoral researchers as well as employed students, around one third is recruited on a permanent basis into the company’s research and development groups after their doctorates.

A new thesis chapter, formulated in partnership with the Bernard Grégory Association, has been established in order to ensure that the students adapt more easily into their professional career after completing their doctoral degrees. The Orange Labs located on three continents supports these programs and ensures their success.

The research groups keep a close contact with several top universities in the different stages of developmental analysis. These include the Concordia University in Quebec and the CRIM in Montreal for validation methods, network optimization is supported by the Geneva University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston (MIT) for virtual environments, multimedia distributed platforms is handled by the Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, the Columbia University in New York for intelligent agents,  among others.

Call Center Of The Future Best Practice: Startek “the Enterprise Of Call Centers Just Got Better”

I have had the privilege to watch the construction of StarTek’s newest call center based in Costa Rica and to get to know the on the ground leadership team responsible for Start-Up.

Why does StarTek make my Cut for Best Practices?  Place, Passion and People!

As a former Customer Service Manager for one of the largest Call Centers in the U.S. and Coach/Consultant for Call Center Sales and Customer Service, I keep an eye out for call centers that demonstrate “Best Practices”, particularly companies that are working passionately to improve the perception that “Customer Service over the Phone” is a nightmare and “Working in a Call Center” an even greater one.  Let’s not even talk about the reputation of “Off-Shore Call Centers”

1) Place: The Feng Shui of Call Centers.

StarTek recognizes that environment impacts employee attitude which impacts customer service call quality!  Following leaders like Google, StarTek’s Costa Rica Call Center has a hip modern design to attract and energize employees who appreciate the quality of their work space.  Costa Rica’s “Nature of Inspiration” is also evident in this creative design with each floor representing a different eco system of Costa Rica.  There’s a Rainforest Floor, Volcano Floor and even a Floor that’s a Day at the Beach!  A spacious and bright employee lunch room helps to energize employees so the last call of the day is as enthusiastic as the first.

Under the direction of Call Center Site Manager Ryan Carey,  the StarTek Customer Service Call Center is a creative and comfortable environment with on-site catering, free transportation for employees, an on-site doctor and even a recreation room with a Wii that all combine to create a positive and productive workplace.   Carey has gone the extra mile in the design, having sat in the chair of a call center agent and the results are note worthy.

Listen up Call Center Managers:  There’s a reason prisons are depressing places!  It’s called environment! I have witnessed far too many call centers including my own years ago, that do nothing to energize the employees and indeed resemble a prison.  The result is what we have settled for in the industry and as customers: Robotic agents that can barely wow themselves yet alone provide WOW! Customer Service over the phone. PS: Providing a creative and positive work environment shows returns in both productivity and reduced turnover.

2) Passion and People:  Hire for Attitude/Train for Skill and Commit to Hiring only the Best!

In my years of teaching “How to Recruit and Hire the Right People”, I perhaps have not seen a more rigorous recruitment process in the Call Center Industry.  According to StarTek’s passionate Director of Strategic Recruiting and Talent Acquisition, Holly Reed, the secret is in the sophisticated recruitment process that seeks to identify the candidate’s value proposition.  Does the employee fit both the skills needed by successful agents as well as the StarTek Culture?

According to Reed, StarTek is looking for the “5 E’s” in their Call Center Sales Agents:  Engaged, Experienced in Sales, Enthusiasm, Excellence in English Language Skills and Employees who actually Enjoy Sales!  Duh! Why hire someone who hates sales if their primary job is selling?  It may sound like common sense but you would be surprised at the lack of that consideration by call center managers caught in a turnover tsunami.  To those managers, a recommendation to stop the madness!  Ask not why employees are leaving but why your top performers are staying and develop a strategic recruitment and retention process around that question.

StarTek’s recruitment process for agents includes an on-line application, followed by a sales assessment,   followed by a 155 data point interview over the phone.  Then comes the next phase of an on-site interview by the team in which the candidate also interviews StarTek, experiences first hand what the job is about, through listening and observation of calls and a final test which I believe is pivotal.  Sorry if I told you that secret recruitment test, I’d have to kill you!  No unfair advantage in the StarTek application process.  Suffice to say the team at StarTek is seeking the Real Deal:  Passionate, Personable and Performance Driven and Yes, they live by –Hire for Attitude, Train for Skill.
