Feng Shui Voice

Listening to the Voice of Feng Shui

A Feng Shui question?

I heard that placing a frog outside of the house facing towards the entrance door is lucky for wealth. Is any frog can be placed outside of the house or it has to be three legs one. I have one frog statue who has a crown on his head and sitting on a chair. It has four legs, and I wanted to place it outside of my house facing towards entrance door. I just wanted to know if I can do it or the frog has to have three legs. Thank you very much.

The simple answer to your question is that the frog you want to use to activate for wealth will not work. The Money Toad, called Chan Chu in Chinese, you are referring to has specific Feng Shui requirements in order for it to work as a Feng Shui cure.

First off, it is not a frog, it is a toad. A toad does not have smooth skin like a frog. Toads have warts, which is important from a Feng Shui perspective. The warts on the toad is meant to symbolically absorb negative energy for you. There might be negative energy blocking you from reaching your wealth potential. This is why a regular frog will not work.

The second point is if you look at the back of the Money Toad you will find the configuration of the Big Dipper on its back. This is important, because the Toad needs to attract the energy of the Big Dipper. There are some imitation toads on the market that do not have this configuration and they prove to be ineffective. You need to make sure the Money Toad has the Big Dipper on its back.

The third point is that the Money Toad has to have a old Chinese coin, call an I Ching Coin, place in its mouth. The coin needs to be always be in the toad’s mouth, to symbolizes that you are attaining your wealth. Usually the Money Toad is also designed sitting on a pile of gold coins or nuggets to show it will help you accumulate your wealth.

The final point is the Money Toad has only three legs, not four. The number three is significant, because it represents the Trinity of Life, bring together the energies of Heaven, Earth, and Man. So it can not have four legs, three legs are a must for the Money Toad.

As you can see, the use of cures in Feng Shui have very specific guidelines and not just anything will do. In order for the cures to work, you must have specific traits for the cures you want to use. Substitutes will not work.

Good luck.
