Feng Shui Voice

Listening to the Voice of Feng Shui

Attracting Good Health

If you’ve been feeling under the weather, there might be a number of factors at work. You might be tired, stressed, or simply just the victim of whatever is going around at the current moment. And while most of us are going to be sick on occasion, if you find that your health is less than you’d like it to be, you might want to turn to Feng Shui to help. In addition to the advice of a doctor, altering the energy of your life can begin to cure whatever ails you.

Finding the Center of Yourself

According to Feng Shui, the health area of your home is the center part of each room of your house as well as of the house as a whole. As such, the first step toward improving your health energy is to look at these areas of your home and your office. What’s there? Are there things that are cluttering up this area and preventing energy from flowing? Are there items that are broken or plants that are dying? Those certainly aren’t attracting positive energy. Take the time too to remove any heavy objects from the centers of your rooms as these can weigh down your energy and make it hard for your body to release illness and disease.

You will also want to make sure you are removing anything that might be seen as negative in your environment. Whether this means pictures that don’t make you happy or items that you’ve held onto because someone else gave them to you – you need to rid yourself of everything that doesn’t make you smile. Attracting good and healthy energy starts with surrounding yourself with things that make you feel good about yourself.

Restoring Your Health and Maintaining Your Energy

The first thing you need to do in order to make sure you stay healthy is to ensure that energy – good positive energy – is always able to enter your space. Keep your front door free of obstacles and make sure the door itself can be seen from the street. Take away any metals that might be in your bedroom as these can attract too much energy, which is just as bad as too little energy. You spend most of your life in your bedroom, so this is an important area to cleanse of unwanted energies.

Take a multi-faceted crystal and hang one from the center of your bedroom as well as any other rooms you spend a lot of time in. This will help to disperse energy throughout the space, keeping it from getting too concentrated in one area. If you can, add a natural mattress to your bed so that you are being supported by natural fibers that are energetically positive. Your home should be bright and welcoming. Make sure the centers of all of your rooms are bright with light. This attracts healthy energy.

Plants are another positive way to add healthy energy to your home and to your body. Choose plants like spider plants or ferns for the best effect. Chimes or bells can also help to break up congested energy in your space, so take some time to decorate with these or to ring them to dissipate energy. Yellows and greens are best to use for healing and for health in rooms.

No matter what else you do, choosing to take action for your health is the most positive step you can make for yourself. And with Feng Shui, you know you are attracting all the healing help you need.

Wrought Iron Wind Chimes – For Style, Luck and Prosperity

Wrought Iron is mostly associated with decorative furniture, gates, and railings etc. However, the tough, malleable, and easily welded wrought iron is also used to make various handicraft items. One of such very popular wrought iron handicrafts is the wrought iron wind chimes. Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese knowledge about the flow of “chi” or energy, also uses wind chimes as a very effective tool for bring luck, prosperity and positive energy in a house. And as these iron wind chimes are so beautiful that they render unique style to one’s home. So, if you want to bring good luck, prosperity, energy, popularity and all the good things to your home, just read on to know how to use these chimes in a proper way.

Choose the Right Wind Chime

First of all, you must select your wind chime according the size of your room or garden, wherever you wish to hang it- small size for small sized rooms and big one for bigger spaces. After size, sound is the most important consideration. In fact, sound is what makes a chime effective. Metal chimes produce the most penetrating sound and thus, wrought iron wind chimes are just perfect for the purpose. Now comes the Feng shui as wells Vaastu consideration- the directions best suited for wind chimes.

Place Wind Chimes in Proper Directions

Wind Chimes are mainly used as Feng Shui tools for circulating positive energy and as such they should be placed in those directions of the house where there is most of the negative energy. The north and west sides are considered such negative energy prone areas of the house.

North facing windows and entrance doors: Whenever windows and doors are north facing, a very little or no sunlight reaches the interiors of the house which in turn leads to cold, dark and depressing atmosphere. Thus, metal wind chimes placed in the north, west or northwest areas of a home can bring positive energy in the house leading to ultimate prosperity.

Western area of the House: Western direction is generally regarded to be children’s area. A wind chime placed in this direction promotes the chances of having children and positively influence their health, behavior and studies. Hollow metal wind chimes hanged in western direction particularly brings more energy in the house.

What more! Wind chimes can even cure depression and laziness. Get some Feng Shui Tips about the same.

If a picture paints a thousand words what do your walls say about you?

If you were like me as a kid your bedroom wall would have been covered with posters and pictures.  For me it was the Bay City Rollers, Jackson Five and, of course Donny Osmond.  I guess you can work out my age now!  For others a football team, pictures of friends or family.

As kids we put stuff on our walls that we wanted to look at.  That allowed us to dream and imagine our future lives.  Our pictures inspired us.  We knew the value of an image and how it affects us on a subliminal level.  But I often wonder if we lose that as we grow up.

Perhaps we adorn our walls now for different reasons: because we’re trying to emulate somebody else, because we saw it in a magazine, because it was a present and we feel we should hang it up, because it matches the colour scheme or because the wall’s bare without ‘something’.

Wherever we go we are inundated with images, so much that we have to block a lot of it out or our brains would frazzle. However, there are two places where images can have a deep effect on us, slowly seeping their message into our subconscious and you may not even know that it’s happening.  Those places are our home and our workplace.

So let’s take a step back and think about images whether they are paintings, posters or any other artwork on display.  They all visually represent something.  It may be something that we recognise or it may be abstract where colour and shape dominate.  Whatever is represented we will have a visual/mind reaction when we look at it.  We’ll like it, not like or couldn’t really care less.

However, images have a much deeper effect on us and our choices of imagery in our homes and workplaces can be very telling.  Once we understand this effect, we can use it to our advantage to make changes in our environments and, therefore, in our lives.  This is a vital part of a Feng Shui consultation where images can exacerbate an issue and can often be used as cures.

What are you battling against?

This depicts a scene from the charge of the Light Brigade during the Battle of Balaclava in the Crimean War.  It’s a pretty rousing picture and would not look out of place in a traditional house, perhaps in a study.  But it’s a battle, it’s war, people die and there’s lots of blood.  It is far from relaxing or inspirational.

If you’re looking at this scene when you work you may find yourself battling with suppliers or fighting to get your customers to pay you.  And if you’ve got it hanging in the bedroom well, I think you can work that one out.

Is life a little choppy at the moment?

Here’s a classic example of the type of picture you find on many board room or senior managers’ walls.  Now, I don’t know about you, but if I’m dealing with any organisation I’d be concerned if I thought they were going through rough times like the boat is in this picture.

Do you really want a relationship?

This is typical of an arty, atmospheric image.  You would be amazed by people who are looking for a relationship, or can’t seem to make relationships last that have this type of imagery in their lives.  On the one hand they say they want to find somebody and settle down but their walls say ‘I want to be alone.’

Relax and take it easy

Even abstracts have similar effects.  The fluid shape and blue tones here represent water.  Water is very Yin and is about stillness, quiet and the feminine.  So it will work well in areas where relaxation takes place.

Don’t even try to relax

However, this one is the complete opposite.  The red makes it very Yang which is fiery, active and stimulating.  Also the rectangular shapes represent a rising energy so put this in a place of relaxation and it will have the opposite effect.

Are you starting to look at your walls differently now?  Any imagery you use should reflect what you want, what you aspire to.  A typical Feng Shui type picture would be a mountain because it represents stability, security and support.  However, there’s a big difference between the foothills and the top of the mountain.  So, if your mountain picture is in front of you, make sure it’s showing the view from the top, unless you really want to stay stuck kicking your heels at the bottom.

Green Dragons, White Tigers, Black Turtles and your New House

Feng shui, for the few folks out there who haven’t heard about it, is the ancient Chinese science of determining and altering the effects of the environment on our lives. If you listen to some of the claims made for feng shui, it holds all the secrets to health, wealth and happiness wrapped up in a few coins and some wind chimes. All you have to do is anchor your house with a Black Turtle, get a Red Phoenix to nest in front of it and find a White Tiger and a Green Dragon to protect its flanks. If all that sounds suspiciously like semi-mystical mumbo-jumbo, it may be because our practical English isn’t informed by the cultural mythology of China. Before you run out to find green dragon and white tiger statues, read on and learn a little about finding your perfect home with feng shui.

Feng shui proposes that in addition to the energy forces that we can see and feel – like wind – there are also invisible and unfelt forces of energy that affect our bodies and our minds. Some practitioners have tried to explain these forces by using the metaphor of a magnet. We can’t see the attractive and repellent forces themselves, but we can see their effects if we try to push together the wrong ends of two magnets. The magnetic forces repel each other.

In feng shui, the life force is called chi (or qi). There are two opposite types of chi – yin, the female, passive, receptive force, and yang, the male, active and repellant force. These forces are in constant flow and movement on, in and above the earth. Certain land formations and structures can help attract, channel and direct both types of chi. That’s the basic concept that underlies most practical feng shui.

So what’s that got to do with picking the right house?

When you choose a house, you look for congenial neighbors, good schools, the distance to and from work and other destinations, the view – why not look at the land forms and structures around the house and how they may or may not encourage positive energy to flow into your home – and stay with you? That’s essentially what a feng shui consultant does – examines the flow of energy and makes suggestions based on his or her observations. Ideally, a feng shui consultant will also want to know the birth dates of the people who will live in the house to help him or her determine specific suggestions for locating rooms and furnishings, but there are some general guidelines for situating houses that you might find helpful.

In feng shui, every house has four guardians. These guardians are given the names of mythical Chinese animals. If you stand facing your house, the left side is the place for the Green Dragon and the right is where you should find the White Tiger. At the back of your house, there should be a Black Turtle and in front of it, a Red Phoenix. The Green Dragon should be stronger than the White Tiger. The Black Turtle should be higher than the house, and the Red Phoenix should be lower than the house.

Now let’s cut away the poetry and talk in plain English. Ideally, your home should be protected on both sides and in the front and the back by some structure or land formation. You can see how practical this advice is if you consider that wind is an energy force. If energy currents carry life force, then it only makes sense to locate your home in such a way that it is protected from destructive forces while inviting and holding protective ones.

Black Turtle

Feng shui experts will tell you to look for Black Turtle behind your house. Black Turtle “supports” your house. Traditionally, it’s a hill or a mountain, but these days a wall or building behind your house could serve the same purpose. If you can find or build your house so that there is a hill, mountain or other tall land form behind it, Black Turtle will have your back. If not, you can always build a wall or plant a hedge of trees. Practically, it makes sense to shield your house from high, strong winds and lashing rains.

Red Phoenix

At the front, the feng shui ideal house would have a lake, pool or meandering stream which encourage the good energies to pool and remain with your house. A lawn or grassy field makes a good Red Phoenix, as does a street with little traffic. According to feng shui wisdom, a house with a strong Red Phoenix, like one facing a busy highway, will tend to drain its residents of energy. Imagine the unconscious stress of the constant rush and noise of a busy street right outside your front window and you begin to see how it all makes practical sense.

Green Dragon and White Tiger

The auspicious home also has protectors to the right and left sides of the house, usually in the form of elevations – a hill, a wall, another building – even a row of hedges or a fence can serve the purpose. In feng shui terms, the green dragon and white tiger guard your home (and you) against bad energy. In practical terms, they serve as privacy screens and wind breaks.

What if the house you love has bad feng shui?

You could just figure that if you love the house, the feng shui can’t be all bad. But any good feng shui consultant can recommend cures to mitigate any bad feng shui. You might plant a hedge on the right side of the house to bolster the white tiger, or put a fountain in the front yard if your red phoenix needs help.

When you consider how practical many of the suggestions offered by feng shui consultants are, it’s really not surprising that many of the most beautiful and congenial houses you’ll view have good feng shui. If you don’t believe me, look for the white tiger and green dragon next time you go house shopping. You’ll see.

Great Tips to Activate Your Career Luck

Having serious ambitions? Desiring to make it big in your career? Or simply just want to find a suitable and good job to start your career right now? You can definitely use Feng Shui to give your ambitions a boost. Good career feng shui usually manifests in the form of increased opportunities.

Be prepared to become a much busier person. It is important to realize this, otherwise you could well feel hassled by the sudden new scope your working life now takes. If you are a passionate about your work and are driven to push yourself further in your career, you will benefit tremendously when you activate your career luck.

Your hard work will start to reap dividends. Powerful bosses will notice you within your work space, and extra responsibilities will be heaped upon your shoulders. You will start to operate in a different league.

I remembered back in the days when I energized my career luck. It took off like a cheetah that I did not know if I was coming or going. That was the year when I made so many quantum leaps in my career, it scared me. So when you start energizing your career luck, do be prepared to be surprised.

Nonetheless, everyone wants to have prosperity in their career and by tapping on the wisdom of feng shui, it can really enhance your career luck and brings you to the next higher level of your career.

The CAREER CORNER is the NORTH of any residential building or personal space. Thus to get the most out of career feng shui, you should use feng shui methods to energize the NORTH corner of both your home, as well as your office.

Remember that at home, if the north corner is your bedroom, do not do anything inside the bedroom. Instead you should focus on activating the north corner of your living room.

However, if the north corner of your home is where you have the toilet, the consequences are inauspicious for the careers of residents. Try your best to close the toilet, and if you can, do not use it. If you were to ask me what should you do if you really cannot demolish or close the toilet, my best solution to you is to place a big boulder inside to press down the bad chi caused by the toilet.

One sure effective way to activate your career luck is to have a small aquarium filled with guppies in the NORTH wall or corner of both your living room at home, and in your office. Your aquarium should not be two feet lengthwise or less. I strongly recommend guppies because these small fishes are hard little creatures with stunning tail fins. They create very good yang energy because they swim vigorously. Simply get a whole school of guppies or other lively active fish and watch them swim strongly, creating strong career luck for you and your family!

On the other hand, you can also place turtles at the North corner of your home. A turtle is considered one of the most powerful symbols of good luck under the study of Feng Shui. My best advise is that a terrapin turtle should be placed in an aquarium in the northern corner of the house or office. The turtle is also considered as a protector and symbol of good luck and the happier and more active your turtle is the more your career luck will be activated.

However other considerations need to be kept in mind while placing any water body in your space and therefore Feng Shui also considers the general layout of the house and your personal kua number before suggesting any Feng Shui career tips.

The use of wind chimes can also increase your career luck tremendously. It is especially beneficial to a personw ho is running his own business. The business owner will benefit froma metal wind chime in the Western direction while an eight rod metal wind chime in the Southeast can represent wealth for the home and work place.

One important thing that you should take note when using wind chime is the material of the wind chime and the number of rods that is used. The direction to place the wind chime should also be chosen with great care.

Feng Shui career tips or even other aspects of implementing Feng Shui for any area of our lives should be carefully studied and only then applied to our lives. It is best to understand the principles and rules of applying Feng Shui before you start to activate your own career luck with feng shui.

If Feng Shui can be the key that unlocks the door to success, why wouldn’t you grasp this kind of opportunity?

IS YOUR EX BLOCKING YOU FROM FINDING NEW LOVE?

Tired of being solo when the whole world seems coupled up? Many of the people I work with want to improve their wealth area but I’d say finding a new relationship (or strengthening an existing one) is also the number one priority of most people. When I do an analysis of your home and interview you about your habits, will I find any of these feng shui blockers to a new love?

Problem: Photos of your ex. In your home, in your wallet, on your computer, in photo albums, tucked away in boxes. These reminders of your past serve as placeholders signaling the universe that you are either not over your ex or already taken. In any case, any new love interest you might meet will wonder if you truly have room in your life or your heart for a new relationship to bloom.
SOLUTION:Dump the photos. You heard me. Go cold turkey if you really want to bring a happy healthy new relationship into your life. Exception? If there are children involved you should put photos away in a storage bin so they will always have their family history and give it to some other family member to keep safe for them until they are old enough to receive the photos.

Problem: Love notes, ticket stubs from special events you went to with your ex, stuffed toys and mementos from the happy times in the relationship. One of my clients even had a framed wedding invitation hanging over the entrance to her bedroom—and she’d been the one to decide to divorce her husband two years prior because she didn’t love him. Another client used the date he asked his exwife to marry him as his computer password…4 years after their divorce his password remained unchanged and his lovelife stagnant.
SOLUTION: For the same reasons mentioned above: rid yourself of all this Ex-Love Clutter and you’ll be well on your way to attracting someone new.

Problem: Divorce papers, settlement papers, reminders of the breakup.
SOLUTION: Why are you holding on to these items? Buy yourself a shredder and move on (the universe is watching!).

Problem: You still have your engagement and wedding rings. If you’re saving them for a child, DON’T. Do you want your child to inherit divorce chi energy on their wedding day?
SOLUTION: If it’s a valuable stone, sell it and put the money in a trust fund for your child. If there are no children involved, splurge on a new wardrobe and vacation where you might meet someone interesting.

Problem: You want to maintain a friendship with your ex but one or both of you doesn’t know how to do that without overstepping boundaries. For example, when emailing each other you still use your ex’s pet name when addressing them or your own pet name when signing off. Or, when you have a “big moment” in your life, you find you must share it with your ex before anyone else (that includes a big problem where you ask for advice, good news or bad news, etc). Maybe you find out your ex is in the hospital and instead of a simple “Get Well Soon” message, you inappropriately run to their bedside and use the opportunity to work through your own intense feelings on them while they are trying to recover.
SOLUTION: Make a clean break. No need to keep the lines of communication open (unless there are children involved—in which case, you will communicate about issues concerning only your child’s welfare). You still want to be friends with your ex? Save it for a later date. Maybe one of you has moved on but the other hasn’t. Give each other the gift of time to heal old wounds. Time to clear out the Ex Love Clutter so they can make room for a new love. By not engaging when your ex has a moment of weakness and reaches out to you, you’ll be doing him or her a huge favor and you’ll be doing yourself one, too. The universe will take notice and send someone new your way.

Problem: You have a new relationship but it feels like something is keeping you from ‘going to the next level’.
SOLUTION: You may think you’ve moved on–and even moved in together–but you’re still blocking yourself from experiencing a deeper relationship with a new love. You may be afraid to get hurt again. That would be natural. You can use feng shui to help you remove that fear and all the other obstacles to love. Take inventory of your life. If you recognize any of the scenarios I’ve described, take steps toward the solutions.

It may take some time. It may bring up some emotions you thought you were done with long ago. It may be unthinkable to toss out your past as if it never existed. You may want to get some professional help. Be gentle with yourself. See what happens with your new love once you’ve cleared out the remnants of your past relationships.

Diagnose and Cure your Diseases With Medical Astrology

Sometimes explaining people what you really are is not easy, the same is with astrology. However, astrology has plenty of wonders to make life better but critics keep on comparing them with science. In reality the truth is that, astrology is the oldest science and based on core scientific term gravitation. Applications of astrology in real are endless and sometimes curtail for life itself. Astrology is not just about prediction of future happenings but an eternal source of solutions as universe. Unlike modern painful and hampering treatments, medical astrology has easy solution for every health problem. Traditionally astrology was used as an aid to medical treatment and it never harmed anyone. In application of medial astrology there is noting to loose except scientific racism but a great deal to gain. Blend of medical progression and astrology can really do wonders in many lives.

Medical astrology is that branch of astrology that deals in health; after all, health is also a pre-determined factor of your destiny. It believes that twelve zodiac signs represent twelve limbs of human body and sun with its planets rules these limbs. The first house rules head and 12th house rules feet. Since the zodiac signs based on five elements that creates life astrologers determine an individual’s nature and personality according to nature of these elements. According to Indian ancient medical procedures, these five elements are responsible for every functionary of human body. Medical astrology says every planet rules a human body through these five elements and their combinations therefore combination of two opposite planets leads to malfunction of human body. As moon is responsible for blood, therefore all blood related problems can be treated through adoration of moon.

Through a detailed observation of your horoscope, an efficient astrologer can detect those planets that are affecting your mental or physical health. Detection of that planet can help in finding the physical element that is responsible for malfunctioning of relevant body part. Apt remedial measures can be done after proper detection of root cause through medical astrology. If someone is not agreed to have treatment then remedial stones are there to help him or her out. People who are treating their health problems with Vedic medical astrology find it very effective.

From top to toe, every part of the body is associated with astrology. Medical astrology is the science that reveals hidden truths about human body and its correlation with universe. Very few people exactly know the wonderful benefits of astrology in improving their health and those who have experienced its incomparable effectiveness are making efforts for informing people about it. It is becoming the proved and invaluable diagnostic tool that is helping sufferers in faster recovery. If you will have a logical look at medical astrology, you will find that astrology is the origin of all sciences and all scientific logics refers to astrological observation. Follow your wits and make decision that you can rely on and definitely medical astrology has justification for every logical disease.

A couple’s survival guide to moving across borders

Frontiers, borders, crossings, these words evoke a myriad of feelings and sensations, not all of them comfortable. They make me think of being in the right place, or not, of identity, of invasion, of giving up more than one had intended.

When a couple decides to make the commitment to live together they agree to surrender a certain amount of personal space and identity to their partner for a common cause. They allow their personal borders to become porous in the pursuit of a stable life together. This is a big step. To avoid later disappointments it is important that they understand and talk about each other’s needs and requirements, what is negotiable and what is very definitely not.

Putting these issues together is a little like baking a cake. A cake requires ingredients like flour. No flour – no cake. This is non-negotiable and therefore a requirement. Of course a cake also needs heat, a pan and time for baking but these are all negotiable and therefore they are needs.

Finally, questions like what flavour, colour, one piece or two are flexible, the icing on the cake which make up the wants.

Even with the best pre-marital preparation an overseas move can put pressure on a relationship. Couples have to depend on each other far more in a foreign environment and every little problem can become magnified. Couples will be faced with common issues such as settling into the new country, learning the language, making new friends and adapting to new habits and behaviours while other issues will be faced individually. The culture shock experienced may not affect both partners in a relationship equally. The employed spouse has the familiarity of work and work routines while the spouse who isn’t working often has to navigate the new culture quickly — setting up a new home, getting children settled in school — and may get hit harder or sooner with culture shock.

Both partners might have chosen to move abroad and may be doing so willingly. But it’s also common for couples to move abroad because of one partner’s career, and for the other partner to go along, willingly, but with some mixed feelings about the move as well. These mixed feelings can resurface as anger and resentment during the settling-in phase, and again during periods of homesickness and loneliness. A spouse who left a job for the move abroad is now a trailing spouse, which is a quite different, and not so validating status.

The weight of helping children feel at home in a new country is a big challenge that is typically left to the trailing spouse. Finding the right schools and services for children is a challenge in a new culture. Helping children cope with missing their friends, adjusting to a new school, and finding a social network can be difficult and stressful.

Everyone who moves abroad goes through periods of homesickness and loneliness and this doesn’t mean that something is wrong with the relationship. Even when it is at its strongest, a support system that includes extended family and friends is essential. And it takes time to build those relationships. In many ways, it is easier for the working spouse, whose job provides built-in relationships with colleagues and others. The stay-at-home spouse not only has to start from scratch, but may also find cultural barriers that can increase the difficulty of making friends.

Couples have financial worries and discussions no matter where they live. These discussions can be more heated if one spouse isn’t working making the budget tighter than usual.

What a gloomy picture! Thankfully help is on hand of various sorts. As a feng shui practitioner I talk a lot to my clients about predecessor energy. When moving into a new home we literally step into the shoes of our predecessor. How often does one come across a house where couple number one divorced, and couple number two moved in and also divorced? I bought my house from a couple who divorced and had to make very sure that I put in feng shui cures so that we did not suffer a similar fate. One of the simplest ways of changing the energies is to give the whole place a good coat of paint. Not only does everything look brighter and fresher but old marks and scuffs from those who lived here before are removed. The Chinese recommend that newly-weds buy a new bed when they are first married. If that is not an option, new sheets also bring a nice change.

Finally if you are really not adapting to the new country it can be worth consulting a professional coach. It is now recognised that the key to a successful relocation is a happy spouse even though not all companies pay sufficient attention to this.

FENG SHUI

Feng Shui is literally translated into “wind & water”. It is the term used to describe the art & science of the natural flow of energy, as it applies to your environment. For the individual person, this means their home or it can also be applied to the workplace. Our homes can serve as a metaphor for our lives because, in the floor plan, there are areas that represent the different aspects of life, like wealth & prosperity, relationships, reputation, career, and health. Once you are aware of the pattern in your life and in the places you have chosen to live, you can change it, if you wish. Moving provides each and every one of us the opportunity to change, grow & become more the person we truly wish to be. To live the life we wish to live. When we have some Feng Shui tools to help us, this becomes easier and more profound. The first thing we do when a move is imminent is find a new home. When looking for that new home, keep in mind that this home should in some way be better than the last one. More able to support the things in life you are working towards. Before you move into it, you should establish your energy there in a positive way. This can be done by performing some kind of ritual, something that has meaning to you like burning sage or incense or just setting your intentions of what would you like to have in your life. This process will clear the deck for your new dwelling to receive you & establish you as the new resident.

One of the most important Feng Shui “cures” you can do for yourself is to get rid of anything and everything that you don’t use or don’t love. Even if your great aunt gave it to you years ago because she loved it! This is easier for some people than others & for some things than others. You may find yourself getting very emotional. It is a good idea to have a friend help with this part. He or she will not be attached to your stuff. Donating unwanted items can be a good one. The things you decide to keep should be packed carefully and labeled clearly. Before leaving the previous home find a time to review the experiences you had there, with gratitude, letting go of the past and paving the path for a new beginning. Make sure you take very good care of yourself throughout the entire process. You are not just moving, you are growing & changing. You should be eating well, exercising, getting enough sleep & keeping up with whatever spiritual practice is important to you. This will keep the stress levels manageable & allow you to stay focused on the wonderful new adventure you are embarking on!

As mentioned before, your home has areas that represent different aspects of life. This “bagua” is then superimposed over the floor plan of your home to determine where these areas are. You do this by aligning the three “guas” at the bottom of the map with the front Door of your home. Your front door should be in one of these areas. So that, when you stand at the front entrance, looking into your house, wealth will be in the far left corner, relationships in the far right, etc. When determining the best placement of furniture, it is important to keep a few things in mind. The three most important pieces of furniture you own are your bed, your stove, and your desk. These items need to be placed with the most advantage. The bed is where you retreat each night to rest and should be in a position where you can easily see the door to your bedroom from it. It should not be placed under a window. If you are sharing your home with a partner or would like to, there should be equal sized tables & lighting on either side of the bed. Your stove provides you with nourishment and is not to be visible from the front door. The Chinese believe it represents wealth as well, the more people you can feed, and the wealthier you are. Your desk represents where you do your work. That becomes even more important if you actually do work from home. Your desk should be placed so that you are facing the entrance to the room, you should have a chair with a nice high back with no openings. Aside from these basic guidelines, remember to keep things arranged so that the traffic flow is easy and the feeling is welcoming. These things will allow the energy to flow more freely, helping you to maintain a life that’s peaceful and prosperous. Where these areas exist in your home can be found by using the “bagua” map.

Good Luck!

3. Participating in the NYS program, buying only green energy supplies for our office.

4. All recyclables boxes are collected and sent to the recycling center.

5. We only use florescent energy saving light bulbs at our offices.

6. Plastic container will be soon available for rent, replacing the cardboard boxes.

WHY US?

When you truly consider the facts – when you add up all the numbers – we undeniably offer more value. Sometimes you have to look beyond the price and consider it all, a honest moving ‘quote’ as well as quality, fun movers to work with– are all part of the package. There is a cost to “cheap movers” – don’t get “burned” by it.
