The principles of this art can not only benefit you in your home furniture, but it can be applied as well when choosing and arranging RV furniture.

Here are some basics which can be applied right away:

- Clear up clutter from your RV. Get rid off all the things you don’t need nor love. You want positive chi to move freely.

- Put your seats at right angles to each other. This will also make it more conducive for conversations amongst family.

- Make sure that the coaches and the bed does not face away from the entrance.

- Your bed should not be facing a mirror. In fact, there should be no mirror in the places that you are found off. It is said that this will bring about bad luck and third parties into your relationship.

- The stove in your kitchen area should not be across the refrigerator or sink. The practical reason is that you don’t want heat to go in your refrigerator as it will consume more electricity. The feng shui reason is that you don’t want the elements of fire and water to clash.

- Make sure that you put in as much natural light and air as possible. You wan’t to welcome fresh positive chi into your RV.

- Place your bed against a solid wall.

- If you have a pet turtle. Do not bring him along.

- Pick your parking spot wisely. Stay away from electrical poles as the magnetic fields will disrupt your sleep.

- Place the television set in the living room area instead of the bedroom. I know that this is a hard habit to break. If you must place it in your bedroom, cover it with a plastic (not cloth) table cover when you are not using it.

Add a Spark to your Love Life With Feng Shui Romance Tips

Our personal relationships form the core of our support group and when we have our loved ones besides us, we can face any situation in life. When an individual has his loved ones around him he gets the motivation to do better, has a higher confidence in himself, feels appreciated and loved and his self worth increases. It is no wonder therefore that people give so much importance to love and romance. However, things are not always hunky dory between partners and problems may occur. Effort needs to be taken to ensure that the bond remains strong and the relationship is full of love and positive vibes. Also it may so happen that an individual may not have found his soul mate yet and is still searching for the right person. Whether it is to strengthen an existing relationship or to attract new love into your life, Feng Shui romance tips can make a world of difference to your life.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice that helps to balance the energies and elements in and around our living space. Every element like air, water, earth and fire has been assigned a particular direction, color and property. Each element also exerts control over certain aspects of our life like health, wealth, personal relationships and career. So if you want to positively influence your relationships and love life then Feng Shui romance tips might be a potent tool for you. Some of the objects that can be used as powerful Feng Shui romance tips are the mandarin ducks, crystals, etc. If the pair of ducks is kept in a couple’s bedroom it enhances their relationship and strengthens the bond between partners.

The south western corner has an influence on our relationships and marriage. If you place a clear crystal or pink amethyst in this corner then it acts as an enhancing factor for the relationships. Even little gestures can make a difference to your life and your relationships. Flowers are a great way to activate positive vibes in any living space. It is desirable to keep fresh flowers or even silk or artificial flowers in your home or office. However dead or dried flowers are extremely negative for your surrounding and thorny plants like the cactus can cause arguments within the family. Leafy green plants are also symbolic of a healthy and nurturing family but avoid placing too many plants or greenery in the south western corner as excess of it may be detrimental to your relationship.

Placement of any object in pairs in this particular corner is an effective Feng shui romance tip. However, make sure that if any one of the pair is broken it is immediately replaced. Also, completely avoid placing any object in a group of three as it may indicate the presence of a third person in your relationship that causes infidelity problems. If you are unmarried then effective romance tips include peonies, which can attract love into your life. Whatever may be the tips that you are using, the prime consideration should be that you consult an expert before implementing any tips or it may backfire causing more damage than benefits.

Feng Shui: Using Candles to Balance a Room

Feng Shui (English pronunciation: fun-shway) is the ancient Chinese art of arranging one’s environment to promote health, wealth, and harmonious relationships. The practice takes into account space, weather, astronomy, and geomagnetism—in essence the major forces of the universe. The goal of Feng Shui is to arrange one’s environment on spots with favorable Chi (“Ki” in Japanese). Chi is a big concept and difficult to explain precisely, but to keep it simple we can call it “the universal life force, which flows through everything.”

Feng Shui has been called “architectural acupuncture,” and Feng Shui masters are said to be able to feel the flow of good and bad energy. If you consult with one when building your home or decorating a room, the Master will tell you where to put the bathroom, if a room needs green plants or some red roses, which way your bed should face, and where to hang your mirrors, among a myriad of other adjustments that, it is hoped, will turn your home or office into a more positive environment.

Proponents of Feng Shui maintain that the universe is composed of five basic elements, and those elements will create either a productive or a destructive cycle, depending on how they are combined.

The five elements are: water, wood, fire, earth, and metal.

When combined in that order they not only support one another but make a circle. For example: water sustains wood, wood feeds fire, ashes create earth, earth creates metal, and metal holds water.

So when one of those elements is combined with an adjacent element, it can strengthen the Feng Shui in a room; however, if the element is combined with an element that is not adjacent, it can cause disharmony and create a non-productive cycle.

An example of creating negative energy would be to combine fire and water—which are not adjacent—because water does not support fire; it extinguishes fire. Nor would it be a good idea to combine wood and metal because metal cuts wood.

If your living room emphasizes wood—wooden furniture, picture frames, etc.—you can balance it by adding either a water element or a fire element, the two elements adjacent to wood in the above list. And a good fire element that is easy to add is a candle—arrange a few of them around the room.

For the optimum well-balanced room, none of the elements should be too overpowering. If there’s too much metal in the room, tone the effect down by adding wood elements like green leafy plants or fire elements—again like candles, or a fireplace, or red pillows.

In rooms containing lots of blue or silver colors or metallic furnishings, candles can tone down the effect and balance the room. Scented candles create great Feng Shui because certain scents have mood-enhancing qualities.

In summary, the philosophy of Feng Shui is that people should live in harmony with nature, rather than resist nature. If we surround ourselves with negativity we create unproductive energy, but if we surround ourselves with beauty we create productive energy.

Feng Shui Love Tips Can Attract Happiness Into your Personal Relationships

Love can be blind, but it is something that we simply cannot do without. It can come into our lives at any point of time, without warning and we can do nothing to fight this emotion. And why fight against something that makes you feel at the top of the world? However, there maybe some among us, who have not yet found the right partner and Feng Shui love tips, may just be the thing that will help them find love. Every person can apply these tips and balance the environment in and around their living space. Feng shui is all about balancing the energies and the various elements like the wind, water, air and fire. Properly balancing the yin (female) and yang (male) vibes around you could lead to much happiness in the areas of health, wealth and personal relationships.

Hence, even if you are planning to attract love into your life or simply want to strengthen the existing bonds, Feng shui could be the best tool for achieving this objective. Feng Shui love tips give great priority to the way in which you have arranged your home and the different rooms like the bedroom and living room. A soothing shade like pink would be ideal for the bedroom where you could adorn the walls with pictures of you and your partner or all the family members. The furnishings should also be soft without any hard or pointed edges. Avoid placing any electronic items in the bedroom as the energies should not interrupt the peace and tranquility of the room. Peonies play an important role, when you are considering the Chinese practice of Feng Shui love tips to enhance your personal relationship luck.

If you are unmarried you could place the picture of peonies or perhaps the real flowers itself, in your room and you can be sure to meet that someone special pretty soon. Feng Shui love guidelines also suggest that you light up the southwest corner of your home with red lights to attract harmony and love into your lives. You could also get innovative and paint one wall in the southwest in a passionate color like red. If red is too bold for you, then you could consider sticking to yellow or perhaps tone it down completely by opting for white. Framed pictures of loved ones help to further increase the fondness of the family members for each other.

Many other Feng Shui items go a long way in enhancing your love life, only if you have the patience and faith to try it out honestly. A pair of mandarin ducks in the bedroom also symbolizes the married couple and their happiness. Placing crystals in the southwest corner, lighting candles and gifting roses without thorns are simple gestures that help to activate and enhance your personal relationships. However, rather than applying Feng Shui love tips by gathering them from unreliable sources, consulting a Feng Shui expert is always advisable and the most practical option for all.

Decorating Your Home With Feng Shui

Feng Shui is the practice of bringing good fortune by achieving balance between various elements. In the US, more people are beginning to consult Feng Shui experts in decorating their homes. For you to understand what they say, you need to learn the basic Feng Shui areas that need your attention so you will be able to decorate it properly.

The first step is to draw a layout of your home. When you are doing it, you are noting down the north points in the house.

Then it is time to work on the door. Ideally, the front and back door must never line up with each other. This is because according to the principles of Feng Shui, energy that enters the house will just go out without bringing any benefits to the homeowner. If this is the case in your home, put a plant or any other obstruction with an angled throw rug to encourage a path in a sideways direction.

To bring more energy in the home, bring in some light. This doesn’t mean turning the lights on but simply opening up the curtains so the sun can come in. You should also add green plants since in Feng Shui, the color itself brings joy and happiness. Other decorative items you can use include mirrors, wind chimes and brighter colors.

You can also bring good fortune to the home by putting in an indoor water fountain. This is because water refreshes Chi. At the same time, you can throw in some goldfish as this also encourages wealth. Just make sure to keep the pond clean and never let it stagnate.

Red is a very strong color in Feng Shui because it is hot, passionate, rich and celebratory. You must use this color for a living room set because too much of it may bring restlessness, a burst of anger and over stimulation. If you want to use it, use it only for details and accessories.

When you note down the north point of the home, it will be easy for you to work in other areas such as the southwest area of the house. This area is vital because it will allow you to have satisfying relationships. You can do this by eliminating clutter and replacing it with symbolic items ideally in pairs. Some good examples are candles and other figurines. Never make the mistake of putting wooden or green items here.

As for your dining room, the best ones to get are circles as this symbolizes heavenly blessings. The chairs should be even in number and comfortable to sit in. The dÃcor should be simple so people will not get distracted and be more focused on having a good meal.

Watch out for exposed beams. If there are, these should be covered up because it creates an oppressive downward energetic flow that may cause health problems and other misfortunes in your life. The other option is to have two Feng Shui flutes installed at 45 degree angles on the beam, one at each end.

As for the bedroom, make sure that the bed is not directly facing the door. You shouldn’t also place a mirror on the opposite side of the bed as this could attract a third party into your relationship.

Peace and prosperity can only be achieved by decorating your home with Feng Shui. You can start now with some of the basics then get help if you think you need it.

In our life, a lot of things can be affected by the colors around us. They act as an invisible force, inducing things into happen. For example, if your study room is painted white or light blue, it will slow down the thinking of your mind, causing you to lose concentration. My suggestion is that you can place a few red objects around your room as red color provides positive energy that can help you to keep your focus.

Listed below will be some of the most commonly used auspicious colors by Feng Shui practitioners.

Red

Red is the most popular choice among other auspicious Feng Shui colors. Red is believed to be a lucky color, especially with the Chinese. They believe that decorating your house with red colors will bring you good luck and fortune. For this reason, Chinese like to decorate their doors with tiny little red accessories, believing that these accessories will bring them good luck.

Chinese also like to wear red on auspicious occasions such as Chinese New Year and during wedding dinners. They believe that red color symbolizes their blessing for the newly wed.

Besides being a lucky color, red is also a strong Yang color. It gives out intensive positive energy and provides a form of motivation. It is an ideal color to have in your work place as it is believed to make your business prosperous and in the same time, the positive energy helps the workers to stay focus on their work.

Yellow

In Feng Shui, yellow is deemed to be an imperial color. For this reason, some Feng Shui masters reckon that yellow is more beneficial than red color. As yellow is a Yang colour, it brings about positive energy.

If you think that red is too striking to be used in your office, you can chose to use yellow instead. Yellow also symbolizes cheerfulness, warmth and friendliness, thereby improving the cohesion between workers.

Feng Shui for Widows and Divorcees

I am sure some of you may read the title and think, “OK, this should be good; I will read it for entertainment and if I get more, all the better.”

The practice of feng shui uses the ancient Chinese art of Chi. Chi is energy. It has nothing to do with religion. There are many practitioners out there, all around the world. My purpose in writing this article is to share with you how I benefited from it. Allow me to start at the beginning.

A couple of months before my husband died, I came across an ad in the paper for a feng shui practitioner advertising her services. Interested, I decided to clip the ad out of the paper and put it aside until later. I had never practiced this art myself; however, I like others had read about it in various articles and was intrigued..

As I shared, when I saw the feng shui ad, my husband was dying. We both knew this fact. We had also just moved to a new town a few months earlier and into a new home. When we moved, all I could do was put the furniture in the house. My husband and I were in the fight of our lives…. for his life. (I hear your question: Why would you decide to move if your husband is dying? That answer, will have to come in another article.) So when I saw the ad a few months later, I knew I couldn’t act on it.

After my husband died I pulled the ad out of the drawer and called the practitioner. I needed distraction from my pain and getting the house in better shape was the recipe. Jan, the feng shui practitioner, was very nice on the phone and she asked lots of questions to get to know me. I learned a bit more about what this practice really entailed. I thought it was just about placing furniture in a room, in the best position for chi movement. (I thought I was smart because I knew the word and meaning of chi) I learned that Jan is a traditionalist when it comes to this art. She practices the Black Sect tradition. I had never heard of this or any other tradition. I thought it was all the same; little did I know.

We made an appointment for a consultation at my home. She let me know up front that this would take about 4 hours. WOW, I thought she would just come and make a few suggestions and be gone. Anyway, I can’t tell you everything she did because it would be unethical for me to do so. What I can tell you is that it was a wonderful experience. I implemented all of her suggestions. It took me a while to do so, but I got it all done.

Funny thing though, I started noticing shifts in my energy and what was happening in my life, as I would make the changes. A part of me thought the shifts were flukes, but that wasn’t the case. Being a skeptical person, I really started paying attention to the things that were happening to me. I also noticed that people who visited my home, rarely wanted to leave it. They told me that my home felt welcoming and relaxing. They leave their cares at the door. In fact, at times it is necessary for me to hint to a person that it is past my bed time or that I have to run an errand.

My original intent in having a practitioner use feng shui in my home was to simply receive help in putting my furniture in the best locations. What I got was so much more. I know this sounds strange but having my home in balance has helped me heal from losing my husband. It is my refuge and my place of peace. I travel a lot and I love the places I go. But, I am always happy when I enter my front door. It is as though the house welcomes me home.

If you are someone who has lost your spouse, you have to look at your environment when it comes to healing. There is a direct correlation between your environment and how well you heal. We all want to live vibrant robust lives and one of the best ways to do this is to balance your home. Is your environment safe; is it comfortable? How does your home make you feel? Have you ever thought about enhancing your healing process by enhancing your home?

I am not suggesting you go out and buy a book on feng shui. As I stated earlier, there are a few different schools of feng shui; and most of the books don’t make the distinctions. I have heard people say they get confused because one book tells them something and another says something else, concerning the same subject.

The best way to learn what your home needs is to hire a practitioner. These people have been to school to learn this art. Some have practiced for many years. There is no way you can read a book and know how to apply it’s suggestions to your situation.

I am a stickler for certifications, so make sure who ever you use is certified. Have them tell you the name of the school and do check them out before hiring them. Also make sure they have been in business for a while. Use your judgment and instincts. I have listed the name of the practitioner I used, on my web site. Feel free to contact her. She is available for phone consultations, if you are not in her area. Hiring a feng shui practitioner was one of the best decisions I made for myself.

How to Determine the Perfect Feng Shui Car Number

The Chinese have an obsession with numbers. They believe in auspicious numbers and whenever they purchase a new car, they always try to obtain an auspicious feng shui car number. The importance of lucky numbers is not restricted to license plate numbers, the Chinese also look for auspicious numbers in almost everything in daily life.

Auspicious numbers are used in determining marriage dates and in determining the compatibility of couples. It is also used in birth conception. Some couples try to ‘time’ the day their children are conceived, hoping the child will be born at a lucky time.

It is important to understand what numbers are auspicious and what numbers are considered to be unlucky. This is especially so when giving gifts. Some superstitious Chinese are easily offended by gifts that may bear an ‘unlucky’ omen.

The Chinese place heavy emphasis on a good feng shui car number. This is because they want their vehicle to be ‘lucky’ and safe on the road. The emphasis on car numbers is so heavy, that some Chinese believe that cars that have been in accidents must now be lucky numbers due to karma; since something unfortunate happened to a vehicle of that number, that same number must now be due for some good luck.

The process in determining a good feng shui number, or any number for that matter, can be long and convoluted. Feng shui geomancers use an elaborate system of checks and balances in trying to balance karma and achieve the optimal lucky digits. Some numbers that are unlucky for some may be lucky for others. Therefore, there is no definitive guide or set of numbers that will universally lucky for everyone.

The one exception to the rule is the number 8. In Cantonese the pronunciation of 8 sounds like the Cantonese equivalent of prosperity. Hence, a series of numbers that end with 8 are generally considered lucky. The more times 8 appears, the luckier the numbers are.

To the Chinese, the number 4 is the Western equivalent of 13. The Chinese regard the number 4 to be unlucky because of its pronunciation. The number 4, when pronounced in either Cantonese or Mandarin, is a dead ringer for “death”. Hence, a series of numbers that end with 4 or have multiple occurrences of 4 are considered unlucky. The number 4, in its very essence, is the embodiment of death.

These numbers are important to the Chinese. To prevent a faux pas, it is imperative that you avoid giving the Chinese any items that are 4 in quantity. Conversely, it is considered extremely polite and thoughtful to give the Chinese items in quantities of 8.

The examples listed above are microcosms of the various systems the Chinese use to determine lucky numbers. If you want to determine a tailor made set of numbers that were designed for you, you will need to delve deeper into the realm of feng shui geomancy. Consulting a feng shui geomancer is one sure way to ascertain the best feng shui car number for you.

Fortunately, there are several books and guides available online that will teach you everything you need to know about auspicious numbers and feng shui. If you feel a pressing urge to change your life with feng shui, try consulting a feng shui book now.

4 Common Feng Shui Blunders

Normal 0

Normal 0 The results that come from practicing good feng shui have managed to elude many of us who have decided to give it a try. Here are 4 commonly made mistakes in the practice of feng shui:

1.Great expectations. After rearranging your furniture to harness good feng shui, you now sit and wait impatiently for the results. Expecting too much, too soon may be an obstacle towards generating the desired results. The angst that you generate from your impatience may neutralize the positive effect of good feng shui. Instead, take it easy and have an open mind, and soon you will realize that feng shui begins to world for you even without you realizing it!

2.Consulting too many feng shui experts. Although feng shui principles are very much universal, when you consult a variety of experts, you’re bound to get a variety of solutions; just like how different doctors can prescribe different sets of advice. The key is to educate yourself with the basics, and make the decisions based on your own judgment. Very often it is better and more effective to keep things simple.

3. Not using a proper compass. Very often, beginners start the practice of feng shui without even using a compass. A rough estimation of the directions using the direction of the sun can be misleading. Buy a good compass, and determine the directions of your house by using the plan or blueprint of your house. It can be quite dangerous to activate the wrong sectors of a room!

4. Not using conventional wisdom, a.k.a. common sense! Experts will usually advise on an array of feng shui remedies for our homes. It is impossible to have a house with perfect feng shui. Feng shui solutions may work for one house but not for another. The key is to practice feng shui within the realms of practicality. It is not advisable to be too dogmatic in the practice of feng shui.

A feng shui remedy is available for each and every one of our problems. Approach feng shui with the right mindset, and watch it transform your life for the better!
