A Feng Shui Consultation Could Help You

There are easy available methods that can help you improve your premises, balance the five feng shui elements and get their energy to circulate the proper way. This could bring numerous benefits, including improved health, increased wealth, better relationships with your loved ones, and more.

Some of the tips that you could receive from a good feng shui consultation are affordable and easy to follow. Let’s discuss two such examples: increasing wealth and improving health the easy way with feng shui.

Wealth: One of the most sought after life improvements is financial stability. Our world is a highly competitive place to live in, where everyone seems to struggle for their slice of bread with some butter.

Feng shui has some truly fascinating suggestions to offer, which work similarly to those of the popular law of attraction (which, in fact, may be based on this Chinese science to a certain extent).

If you want to gain wealth, you need to create a “piece” of it in your own home. For this purpose, you may consider creating the so-called “wealth vessel”. This can be any vase (preferably made of metal or ceramics) that needs to be filled with specific “ingredients”. The ingredients include: Chinese coins, regular currency, semi-precious gems, and a gold ring. The vase needs to be placed in your bedroom, or any other place where it would not be seen by guests.

By locking the representation of wealth this way, you may see an actual improvement in your financial situation in the near future. Note that a professional feng shui consultation could give you more details on this matter.

Health: It’s obvious that a serious health issue will require anyone to visit their doctor and get the proper treatment. However, you can improve your health the natural way as well. Improving health with feng shui involves improving the energy circulation in your home, and especially certain parts thereof.

One of the most important areas to take care of is the kitchen. Improving the energy flows in the kitchen is easy – all you need to do is remove any clutter and clean it well.

Clutter, unused items, and dirty cupboards may not allow for the uninhibited flow of the subtle energies. What you need to do is clean everything you can clean in your kitchen. It may take a day, but the effects can be impressive. Clean your refrigerator and dispose of any old foodstuffs that may be inside. Clean the oven and the pots/pans that are inside. Clean the tables and cupboards. Finish by wiping the external surfaces in the kitchen and washing the floors with soap and water. You can get more tips and advice for this matter through a professional feng shui consultation.

The second important suggestion to consider for improving your health is introducing several special plants into your home, which are: Areca Palm, Lady Palm, Bamboo Palm, Rubber Plant, Dracaena Janet Craig, English Ivy, Dwarf Date Palm, Peace Lily, and Boston fern.

Feng Shui And Awareness

Have you ever suddenly noticed a billboard on the highway and wondered “How long has that been there?”  Or maybe someone has asked you for directions to your house, and you can’t recall the names of any streets en route, despite driving on them daily.

My wife and I recently attended a feng shui seminar offered at Atlas Martial Arts, and I was reminded of the power of awareness.  Awareness of self, of others and of our surroundings can have a huge impact on our mental acuity.  In feng shui, (the art of placement), it is suggested that a harmonious balance of objects, colors and directions can positively affect one’s life.

I have been immersed in Black Belt training for the better part of 10 years now, and I have found awareness is a vital key to both fitness and self defense success.  During the feng shui seminar, we were told to become aware of items in the home and the importance of their placement.  After attending this seminar (given by Hansa Smith, a  feng shui expert and talented speaker),  I wanted to try out these new tools.

Amazing.  That is the first word that entered my mind as I began to look at our home with a new awareness.  It was fascinating to see everything from a new vantage point!  Areas of the home that felt stagnant were viewed with a feeling of anticipation and excitement as my wife and I discussed applying feng shui principles to them.  (One word of advice…patience.  Start with a small area and work your way around your home.  It is far less daunting!)

Take a moment today and become aware of your surroundings.  It can be in your home or at your workplace.  Inhale for a 3 second count, center your thoughts, and exhale for a 3 second count.

Now look around.

What do you see?  What are the colors that you notice right away?  Where are objects placed in your surrounding?

Now listen.

What do you hear? Where are the sounds emanating from?  How do they make you feel?

Now smell.

Do you recognize any scents?  Where do they come from?

Try this exercise once a day for a week, and you’ll begin to notice a change.  Your mental focus will be sharper and your awareness will be heightened, creating a feeling of balance and relaxation.

Feng Shui – The Curative Powers

Feng Shui offers a myriad of cures when it comes to the evils found at home or in our travels throughout the globe. The cures can be within our spaces or they can be without – that is external in nature and origin. Regardless everyone likes a cure to their ills, their problems and concerns. Everyone likes to be positively reinforced and receive positive reinforcement – whether from friends, family or co-workers on the job.

In the world and travels of Feng Shui there are two broad types of solutions. The first is called Rushi or Rooshi and deals broadly of places, events and things in our direct world and contacts. The other is those problems that are of the physical domains. For example installing a windows in a wall casing in a windowless wall , would be on a physical level and would fall into the Feng Shui category of “Out of this World” or “Chushi” often referred to as Choosi.

Throughout the millennia and centuries many types of Feng Shui observed “cures” were developed, assembled and grew into a large respected collection of veritable cures. The powers and persuasions of these cures have come to be greatly respected and appreciated over time. Their powers and roles in healing and dealing with problems – be it of family, friends of basically most people ,places and things are becoming ever more appreciated..

Chushi cures – whether they are in the form and forms of mirrors, crystals, flutes, fish tanks and others are among this vast proven collection of Feng Shui – in the Chushi areas and domains. These can and are well being regarded as “psychological cures” because the subtle adjustments that Chushi feng shui cures offer the most intrinsic as well as subtle and sublime adjustments. While apparently, on the surface it may appear to have little initial or lasting effects on your environment, these will greatly spread, distribute and even shower their effects on our very perceptions.

It occurs, more than commonplace, and more than often that a full rushi, that solutions may not be practical or even economical or thrifty. A Chushi solution will be utilized instead. Your problems and concerns may be facilitated , dealt with and eventfully overcome through a combination or combinations of both rushi (into this world) and chushi (out of this very world) solutions. If one tack or approach does not work – then try the other. However it’s often not one viewpoint or approach but rather a combination of the two that brings the matter and matters to a reasonable as well as fair fitting end and conclusion satisfactory to the initial person and indeed to all parties involved in the problem, problems or debacle.

If there is one ongoing point and viewpoint – or viewpoint to adhere to, emphasize and appreciate it is to remember that to maximize the power and powers of a cushi or cushi cures. Pay great and the greatest attention to any spaces and the spaces themselves where you use and utilize them the most. For example it can be said and noted that clutter around wind chimes or a reflective mirror or mirror like surface will not allow the power and great powers of Feng Shui – be they Chushi or Rushi to express themselves and exert themselves to their greatest positive potentials and helpful effects to you, your family, friends and co-workers.

Do you have any dubious feng shui?

A positive feng shui symbol is always a positive symbol, regardless of where it is placed in your home or office. That’s the good news. It may be placed in its most effective location, or not. Still, it will benefit you at least partially.

Similarly, an item that is a negative symbol, for you, will erode your life in varying degrees depending on its power and where it is placed.

How do you know if something is a positive or negative symbol for you? First, you need to know that it is likely that most of the items in your surroundings are positive, for you.

It is because we humans adapt so quickly to our environments that clutter in general and negative symbols in particular can take root. It almost like they are a low grade infection that causes some small discomforts and over time become chronic yet nonspecific pain.

Items in your home become “wallpaper” after we’ve lived with them for just a few weeks. This wallpaper effect leads to accumulating stuff in our environments that doesn’t serve us.

If something in your home or office came to mind as you read that last sentence, it may be a negative symbol for you. Not necessarily, but certainly perhaps. That item is has what I like to call “dubious feng shui.” It may be good, it may not.

If I asked you, like I do in feng shui consultations when I see something that strikes me as potentially harmful to you, “Tell me about this piece,” the story you tell lets me know whether:

• it stays exactly where it is; it is already placed to maximum effectiveness
• we move the piece to another location where it will support a specific intention
• we move it “out of the grid” where it will do less to subvert your desires
• or, I recommend letting go of it entirely citing the reasons why.

Take a few moments and walk through your home. Make a “Dubious Feng Shui” List. Then, consider how you came to own each item. Does the story give you good feelings or does it bring you down? Let your feelings be your guide. Of course, if you’d like a neutral, trained observer, that is what consultations are for!

Or perhaps you just have one or two questionable items. Post a photo with your comment/question below! I’ll answer your question AND You’ll be entered to win a hour of primo consultation time with me!

Feng Shui Your Financial Worries Away: 5 Easy Steps

Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of placing items in a location for maximum balance, harmony and ch’i  (energy) flow, has been used for centuries to help people improve their lives.  One of the areas which Feng Shui can help with is personal finances.  By following the 5 easy Feng Shui cures outlined below, you will attract prosperity to yourself and your family.

1.  Keep money from going down the drain.  Literally.  Cover or close the drains in your bathtubs, showers, and sinks to prevent the flow of positive ch’i out of your house and into the sewer system.  Sure, the sewer system could benefit from the ch’i, but taking steps to keep it in your house will help improve the energy of your house overall, including the financial energy.  This simple, powerful step can immediately increase the ch’i in your home.

2.  Locate the wealth and prosperity areas of your home.  Visualize your apartment or house as a giant square, divided into 9 equal areas (3 rows of 3 squares each).  Sketch out your living space on paper if you prefer something concrete.  According to the bagua map, wealth and prosperity dwell in the rear left hand corner (when looking into your home from your front door).  Make a note of which room it is.  Don’t worry if your home is not a perfect square- few are.  Approximate as closely as possible where it would be.  In my own home, the wealth and prosperity area is in my oldest son’s room.  I have still applied the Feng Shui cures with success, and it still looks like a child’s room.

3.  Locate your power prosperity area.  The power prosperity area of your home can be found by applying the bagua map within the wealth and prosperity area you found in step 2.  Stand in the doorway facing the area (or imagine a doorway, if it is an open space), and divide the room into a 3 x 3 square as in step 2.  The rear left hand corner will be the wealth and prosperity section of the wealth and prosperity area of your home: your power prosperity area!  Make a note of it.

4.  Apply Feng Shui cures to the wealth and prosperity area.   First, look at the area.  Is it clean and organized, or messy and cluttered?  If it is messy and cluttered, ch’i cannot flow freely through the area and attract prosperity.  Make any necessary repairs in the room.  Broken blinds, squeaky door hinges, or holes in the wall detract from your pleasure in the room, and bring negative energy, taking away positive ch’i from the space.

5.  Apply feng shui cures to the power prosperity area.  Faceted crystals hung in the corner of the room help ch’i flow gracefully throughout the space, attracting prosperity.  Wind chimes, particularly those that have a pleasant, gentle sound and a design or shape that signifies prosperity to you in some manner (for example, shaped like a coin, has the color green in it) will also help bring positive energy and increase ch’i flow in this vital area of your home.  Consider placing a tabletop indoor fountain in the area to bring the soothing sounds of nature indoors, and aid in ch’i flow.  Add a decorative bowl filled with coins to represent the prosperity you are asking the universe to provide for you, so that the ch’i may flow over it and stimulate your personal finances.

By following the above steps and improving the ch’i flow in your home, particularly in the wealth and prosperity areas and your power prosperity area, you can expect your financial picture to begin to improve within weeks.  Feng Shui, coupled with intent, is a powerful tool to bring harmony, balance and prosperity to your life.

Feng Shui- Feng Shui Products

The art of Feng Shui is a philosophy that focuses on balance, harmony, and improving the quality of life. Despite being thousands of years old, it is still relevant and beneficial today. The practice make use of certain Feng Shui products to manage an energy known as qi, or chi using the English pronunciation, which is the essential flow of energy present within and around all objects, both animate or inanimate.

Some of the manifestations of chi according to the ancient art form, starting with the most subtle and ending with the most tangible, include:

- Vibrations

- Light

- Pressure

- Colors

- Sounds

- Temperature

- Solid matter

Tips When Shopping

When shopping for Feng Shui products, some specifics to keep in mind include the image or patterns of the item, the material it is made from, the shape and the color. The color of an object greatly influences the effects it may have on the emotional and physical well being of a person. In Feng Shui, all colors are divided into either the Yin (cool) category, or the Yang (warm) category.

Many products used for Feng Shui purposes are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that are carefully handcrafted by artisans from countries all around the globe. Decorative accents and embellishments you can use are not limited to the Chinese culture or its symbols. In fact, when choosing such products, you should choose one that mesh with or enhance the area where the item will be used or displayed. Here are some popular Feng Shui products you may want to consider getting.

Bagua

The Feng Shui Bagua map is a tool used to enhance your environment through the placement of objects based on the four directions- north, south, east, and west, and the five main elements- water, fire, earth, wood, and metal.

The Bagua, also written ba gua, consists of separate squares and is an essential part of the ancient practice. Using this tool, literally any space, regardless of its size, can be divided or separated into the nine areas or gua, with each area corresponding to a specific aspect of life. Bagua may even be applied to certain areas of the home rather than entire rooms, and should always be aligned or oriented with your front door, even if another entrance is used more often.

Ammolities

Besides the Bagua map, prosperity stones are perhaps one of the most widely used Feng Shui products today. Also referred to as the Ammolites, these stones are believed to have healing properties and are used by those with emotional and psychological ailments, as well as by those with a desire to heal their spiritual selves in addition to their physical self.

Mirrors

Mirrors are another item often used in Feng Shui to remedy different situations such as to “send back” undesirable images, reflect and redirect the path of chi, or to prevent chi from moving into another space. Mirrors are also useful for bringing a space into harmony, enlarging an area or room, and also to promote wealth, good fortune, and positive thinking.

Others

Other products may include either specially designed or regular compasses, a variety of organizational tools, and a host of books and guides written on the fascinating subject. Good luck symbols, such as a metal gourd referred to as the Calabash, are also used for promoting longevity and good health.

Other items commonly used in the practice to achieve harmony and inner peace are:

- Artwork

- Bells, gongs

- Bowls

- Boxes

- Candles

- Chimes, wind chimes

- Coins

- Crystals

- Fabrics

- Gardening items

- Incense

- Jewelry

- Fountains

- Mobiles

- Paints

- Smudge sticks

- Statues, deities

- Sun catchers

Conclusion

Whichever Feng Shui product you choose, do ensure that it matches your needs. If you are in doubt, you can always consult your feng shui consultant who can assist you in such selection.
