How To Learn Feng Shui Yourself With Feng Shui Guide

Feng shui has been around for thousands of years helping people create more peace and harmony in their environments. However there are many different versions of this ancient art, from esoteric practices to gimmicks being promoted in the popular culture. So it can be difficult to separate what really works from the fake products and programs sold by scammers. Here are some tips to help you tell the difference.

The best way to evaluate Feng Shui is to try it out for yourself and see how it affects your own lifestyle. But this doesn’t mean going out and spending a lot of money to build a new house or to completely decorate the house that you are already living in. There are elements of Feng Shui that you can implement in your home that won’t cost you any money to try. You can experiment with some of those techniques and see what kind of changes occur in your life as a result of them. Then make up your own mind whether you want to continue with the practice or not.

For instance, many Feng Shui experts advise that if you only have enough time money or energy to implement the concepts in one room, practice them on your bedroom. There are many things you can try that won’t cost you any money. Arrange your bed so that it’s accessible from both sides, and place nightstands on each side of the bed to improve balance and harmony. Make sure your bed is not situated so that your head faces a doorway, or if that can’t be helped, make sure that door is closed while you’re sleeping so that your Chi doesn’t leave the room without you. Use comfortable bedding made of natural fibers, and as luxurious as possible. This fits with the concept that any artwork in your bedroom should reflect a situation or environment that you wish to have in your life. After all, this is the room where you dream your dreams so you should make your surroundings as pleasant and positive as possible. As you can see, much of this practice simply sounds like common sense.

The purpose of practicing Feng Shui is to create “good Chi” in your environment. The term “Chi”, when loosely translated, refers to the energy of the universe. It’s sort of like quantum physics, which recognizes that all matter is made from tiny subatomic particles that vibrate. So in that respect, it’s not just living things that have energy, but also items that we normally considered to be inanimate objects. The logic is that since everything is energy, it’s a good idea to optimize your life by surrounding yourself with this much “good energy” or “good Chi” as possible. Feng Shui – Courses by The Masters

Those who earn the title of Master are gifted and trained in the art. They dedicate their lives to the principles and teachings of feng shui, offering guidance and expertise to those who need it. People take feng shui courses to attain guidance towards the best treatments for their homes and offices in order to improve their lives and live in harmony with their surroundings. All masters depend on the bagua—the map of the feng shui energy world. The bagua is depicted in tradition as an eight-area octagon. The eight sections surround the tai chi, the central area. Yin and Yang are represented through broken and solid lines, respectively. Each area of the Bagua corresponds to an area in your life.

In Asia, it is not uncommon for these masters to be consulted in matters of building and architectural planning and construction. The architects, planners and designers would attend special feng shui courses or request a one-on-one consultation with a master, to determine the proper positioning or orientation of rooms, doors and windows with respect to the users and the users’ environment. A master does not need to know about architecture and structural engineering. He need only consult on his knowledge of Feng Shui and energy. The architects and designers would then construct their building with it in mind.

This specialization in ‘the art of placement’ dates back to thousands of years ago in ancient China. The Chinese are known for the careful and diligent preservation of their written texts and documents. This same care and diligence was applied in the study of feng shui. Ancient masters conducted a very precise, very empirical research on this matter, checking hundreds or thousands of houses to see if the owners have indeed applied these principles in their homes. After deducing this, they regularly checked in with the homeowners to see if indeed their lives are changing in one way or another with their efforts. Every single piece of data they came up with was then documented into huge volumes and tomes of what is now well-preserved artifact. It is on this basis, with thousands of years of knowledge and tested application, that masters would conduct their feng shui courses To get a sitting in one of these courses would be an honourable and priceless experience.

While there are tons of information on the fascinating art in the ancient Chinese language, they have yet to acquire English translation. The good thing about this is that the more Western people are getting hooked on this ancient art, the more they are trying to research and acquire valuable information about it.

Every year, there are more and more people who get so much into feng shui that their knowledge and studies qualify them to be masters. The more people look to it for their building, environment and design guidance needs, the more experts emerge and the more feng shui courses are conducted. It is important to note that it is always more advisable and practical, where possible, to seek the wisdom and guidance of a master or the right teachings when you are designing your own home. As this will lay the foundations of your environment and affect the lives of your family in your house for the time you live there. Having said that, if your house is already built, there are remedies and cures that you can use to counteract bad placements by learning this ancient art yourself.

Consulting the correct teachings will be a great start for your feng shui journey. Once everything is in order, you will soon notice the many beautiful changes that will flow into your life.

Feng Shui Tips to Activate Your Love Life

Many husband-wives spend all their time fighting each other. Feng Shui can be used to improve any aspect of your life, including your love life. There are different Feng Shui arrangements that can be used to improve your relationships. From a Feng Shui Perspective, there are some simple, inexpensive things you can do right now to get a new love flowing in….or enhance the love you have now. We look primarily at two areas for this–our bedrooms and the back Right Hand side of our home (or business).

You spend a third of your life asleep, so the feng shui of your bedroom is vitally important. Yin energy is peaceful, and the bedroom used to be reserved for lovemaking and sleep. With living space at a premium, office equipment entered and added yang energy to the bedroom. The active yang energy should not dominate the peaceful yin energy. Balanced harmony between yin and yang is best.

The use of a crystal figurine of a pink lotus is also said to enhance the relationship between the married couple. Placing the crystal lotus flower in the Southwest part of couple’s room will help to ensure an obstacle-free and happy marriage. Feng shui for love and marriage also considers the proper placement of furniture in the couple’s room. Mirrors must avoid being placed by the side of the bed, or at the foot of the bed, since it is an indicator that problems may arise between the couple.

You will also want to think of accent colors of PINK. That doesn’t mean your entire room has to be painted pink, rather think of two pink throw pillows, a pink throw over the bed or incorporating the color into your artwork. When we add a Color to a Feng Shui area we are trying to improve, it enhances what you would like to bring into your life.

Mutual support of each other’s dreams. Maybe you want to learn to dance, develop a new business, and your sweetie wants to go back to school to become an attorney. Feng shui translation: symbols that represent dancing, the new business, and the study of law. Shared Activities. Perhaps you have a passion for bird watching, travel, bridge, or golf and wish to share them with your beloved. A hand crafted pair of doves or other birds that mate for life organically combines your Relationship desires with bird-watching.

Generally speaking, the left side of a living room is the Green Dragon while the right side is the White Tiger. The Green Dragon is considered auspicious while the White Tiger is considered inauspicious. Electrical appliances should generally be placed at the left side of the living room while the big furniture like cupboard or sofa should be placed at the right side of the room.

5 Feng Shui Design Tips

Feng Shui is an ancient school of design, of Chinese origins. This design theory is based in the placement of objects in a room, in order to achieve a proper flow of energy or chi, as it is called by the Chinese. Finding a perfect balance and flow in a room can be difficult for those who do not understand the principles of Feng Shui; however, the following tips can help you to get a basic grasp on the ideas behind this type of design and create a comfortable living space that allows energies to flow properly through your home.

- Mirrors in smaller spaces can create the illusion of space and make a tiny room feel more open and inviting. Mirrors also symbolize reflection in Feng Shui, so placement of mirrors is important. Look at the things that are being reflected in your mirrors, naturally, and see what kind of image they present. Avoid placing mirrors in front of clutter or other undesirable things. The reflective properties will “double” these ideas, creating problems.

- Avoid dark areas in your home, particularly in hallways and walkways. Choose light colors for rooms without any natural light and place artificial light sources where needed. Dark spaces can be places for bad energy or evil to fester and develop. Positive chi cannot flow through these dark areas, so they are best avoided.

- Seating is extremely important in Feng Shui, but not the amount or design of the pieces. In this design theory, where the items are facing is what is the most important. Chairs, couches, and other seating options should never leave occupants with their back to a door. In the ancient beliefs, this arrangement will keep unwanted negative energies from sneaking up on you, unsuspected.

- Color is one of the most complicated aspects of Feng Shui. Each color represents one of five elements, and each of these elements must be used with care in conjunction with the other four. Each of these elements has a directional position where it is best used in the home. Fire colors should be used in the south areas, metal in the west , water in the north, wood in the east, and earth in the northeast and south west.

- Clear, open pathways are important in Feng Shui, so that chi can flow freely. Open walkways through a bedroom, living space or hallway will make the room seem to be more open and comfortable, plus will leave a better feeling of balance.

One of the most important things to remember when decorating, whether you are using Feng Shui or simply rearranging your furniture, is that the comfort of those using the spaces is of the utmost importance. Assure that everyone can be comfortable and happy and you will find your living spaces not only more beautiful, but also more pleasant to be in as well. feng shui design can bring a wonderful level of enjoyment to the décor of your home, if done properly.

How to Feng Shui Your Lifestyle Yourself – Decluttering is the First Step to Feng Shui Your Life

What is Feng Shui? It is a Chinese art and science that is about the balancing of energy to promote health and fortune for the people inhabiting an area. The practice of Fengshui dates back to over three thousand years and was developed based on the idea that land and nature is filled with Chi or energy and how this energy occupies a space is what brings in a good harvest.

Feng (pronounced Fung) represents wind, where Shui (pronounced Shway) stands for the element of water. The belief is that the harmonious balance between gentle winds and clear water, leads to health and fortune.

When applied correctly, Feng Shui can bring good luck and good fortune to anyone. The principles of Feng Shui can be used to create a harmonic environment within your home, increase wealth and prosperity and increase the happiness that occurs within the four walls of your home.

Your home is not just a structure of walls, but also a place of relaxation and reprieve from everyday life. It is believed that the elements of your home greatly affect your daily life and Fengshui can help direct this.

It is impossible to become a feng shui expert overnight, especially since incorporating these principles into your home demands a careful study into the geography and orientation of the property itself. You also have to determine several different aspects such as the Chinese zodiac sign and the lucky number of each household member. There’s a plethora of factors you have to take into consideration in order to achieve the ‘perfect’ or ideal fengshui setup at home.

Hence, we need to understand the basics of Feng Shui before we try to do our arrangements in our home or workplace. My strong advise is that you should read up more on Chinese Astrology resources and books and understand the solid foundations behind it before you start implementing any of the FS tips and guide. It is of paramount importance that we master the fundamentals of Feng Shui and understand that FS is not a religion but a science. We also need to make sure we do not become too superstitious after learning Feng Shui as it would only do us more harm than good. We should not go to the extreme aspects and cause inconveniences for ourselves.

There should be a balance for everything and so is Feng shui. A smart person will study Feng Shui and use it accordingly and correctly on his or her life. He or she should practise FS only after having studied and understood the basics of Feng Shui. All of us can benefit from Feng Shui if we ensure a balance when applying this art of improving our lifestyle.

Embrace and give positive energy to your environment through love and joy, and it will reflect the same energy back to you. Remember that Feng Shui is about balance and harmony.

Decluttering – The First Step To Feng Shui Your Life

Feng Shui tradition states that the home breathes like a living organism. The vital force, chi, enters the home through doors and windows and should be able to flow unobstructed around the corridors and rooms.

A messy and haphazard home or room is definitely going to affect the inhabitant’s health, fortune and luck because harmful sha chi or killing energy will begin to build up. The accumulated clutter in the house can lead to a difficulty in life which will materialize in the sector of the Magic Square in which the clutter sits. A cluttered, messy home may also lead to neurosis and terrible worry entering your life. In addition, the clutter could lead to volatility of emotions and troubles in affairs of the heart.

Not all of us are perfect home-makers, indeed, some of us actually like to live in chaos! However, from a feng-shui point of view, a disorganized home will lead to a disorganized life.

Hence, the most important basics of practising good fengshui in the house is to tidy up your house or rooms! In fact, feng shui is actually practising your common sense! Feng shui is about enhancing good energy in the house. If your home is in great shape, you feel fine. You feel proud. But if it’s a mess, you shrink inside. You feel embarrassed. You berate yourself for not making the room look good, as you had planned a hundred times to do but never did.

The practising of decluttering in feng shui goes far beyond your own environment. The effect of decluttering will open door after door for you in your personal and career life. Decluttering releases the bonds that have been holding you back. Decluttering ignites the fires of energy within you – energy you didn’t even know you had! The stress in your face and body will ease and your confidence will return. Things start to fall into place in every area of your life when you declutter your surroundings.

Feng Shui – Discover The History & Origin of Feng Shui

Feng Shui originated in China and translates to “wind and water”. It was first used in ancient China about 3000 years ago to determine the auspicious sites for the tombs of ancestors. As time passed, the art was used in building palaces, monuments, government buildings, and eventually, whole cities were built using the principles of this powerful art.

It is believed that about 90% of all properties in Hong-Kong are build based on the feng shui principles. It is taken very seriously in East. A bank was sued in Hong Kong by the neighborhood businesses because of its non-aesthetic construction. This bank was the Bank and China. The famous story is that the architect of this bank designed the bank in such a way that it killed the energy (chi) of its surrounding businesses. The arrow-like structure was intentionally designed so as to send the “killing chi” to it’s neighbors. In response to this kind of design, the neighboring businesses erected mirrors to reflect the negative energy back to its origin and sue the architect.

Feng shui is famously used to channel the energies that surround us on a day to day basis. It is supposed to be used for greater good. However, when used in evil manner, the law of karma kicks in and levels off the playing field.

In western culture, it became the “buzz” in late 1990′s. London is the place where most number of training and workshops are conducted. It has acclaimed its place as the feng shui capital of the world.

Many entrepreneurs and business owners practice the art unknowingly. One of the best selling Jaguar cars, the E-type, was unknowingly designed with light reflection principles well known in feng shui theory. The principle of light reflection is the principle in which light smoothly reflects itself all the way from the front to the back along the surface of the material.

Mastering the principles of this aesthetic art takes a lot of effort and energy. In the East, it takes 30 year apprenticeship to become a master. Interior design and furniture placement is only one aspect of this complex art, however, in western culture, it is famously known solely for that aspect.

Many of us in the western culture have forgotten how to live in balance with our surroundings. The furniture and houses are designed so to enhance separation and isolation. This results in the feeling of disconnection and isolation from rest of the universe. Feng shui offers a strong hope to our disoriented life.
