Lucky Rituals You Can Do to Attract Wealth, Love and Money!
One reason for introducing the principles of Feng Shui into the home is to bring luck to all who live there, so knowing how to get that luck is an important part of the process. It is also a lot of fun, and can make for some interesting decor that is sure to become conversation pieces when friends and family visit.
Many animals are considered lucky in Chinese culture, so consider them helpers around the house, bringing luck and financial success. Once you know where the major kuas areas related to money, love, career and suchlike are located in your home, you can add lucky animals to bring success and wealth.
1) Dragons bring good fortune and power, unless you were born under the sign of the Dog, which is the opposite of Dragon. Also bringing power and luck are Fu Dogs, which usually come in pairs and these should go on either side of a doorway, so they offer protection, too.
2) The whimsical Three-Legged Toad brings wealth and they are usually shown sitting next to stacks of gold coins so place one in a Wealth gua to bring money. If you are hoping to bring more happiness into your home, decorate with Bats. Two bats bring double happiness, so double up!
3) Cranes attract wisdom and long life, while Fish are extra lucky and they attract money and all sorts of success, and represent perseverance (after all, they swim upstream!)
4) For the best luck and prosperity, decorate with an elephant, especially one with its trunk raised. The elephant represents intelligence, strength and kindness. For that extra luck, get a statue that holds an ear of corn, which represents abundance.
5) One fine ritual for attracting luck to the home is to use a Dilbu bell to call Buddha and the other deities. The bell is balanced to harmonically create certain tones that call the outer world, usually done by rubbing it with a wooden stick. A Dorje is a representation of a lightning bolt which should be held in the right hand, symbolizing the masculine yang power, while the bell is held in the left hand, to represent the feminine power of profound wisdom. When both are used in a ceremony along with ritual prayer, they form a force of purity.
6) Many Chinese people swear by special wish boxes made of porcelain, clay or some other earth-based material. Place a wish, written on a piece of paper, inside the box, which has a mirror on the inside of the lid. Make a prayer or do a ritual to amplify the power of your wish, and then seal the box. Many wish boxes have Lucky Cats painted on the lid, shown with their paws raised to accept the good luck.
7) Another special luck ritual is done with three Chinese coins, the type with holes in the center. The coins are tied together with a red ribbon. The color red is a very lucky color. To attract good fortune and money, luck, place the three Chinese coins in a red envelope and carry with you in your pocket or handbag. If you are hoping for luck in business, tape the envelope under your desk or computer, or attach it to your cash register. This ritual brings money luck, and you should see results in no time!
The New Year is a time of transition, and many people find that it isa good time to use a luck ritual for the year ahead. Almost every culture has luck rituals for the New Year, in fact, including the Chinese.
Feng shui rituals include cleaning the home thoroughly to remove all dust and debris from the old year and getting them out of the home. Get rid of all the dust bunnies in corners and bits of debris under the couch. Old debts should be paid off whenever possible, to start the new year with a clean slate.
The beginning of any new year is also a great time to bring new objects into the home, such as appliances, linens, furniture, curtains and even clothes. You should do everything in your power to start the new year with a home that is free of old energy. But on New Year Day, do not sweep your floor as this would mean sweeping your new luck away! In many homes, brooms are hidden on the first day of the year, and no one should be allowed to sweep the floor!
Some other new year luck rituals are to bring mandarin oranges to friends and family when you visit (and you should receive oranges from them in return). Some families even have a New Year Eve reunion dinner so that the entire family can see out the old year together and, on Chinese New Year, the famous lion dance ritual is performed to bless homes and businesses with powerful energy. If you are opening a new business, it is always a good idea to bring in a lion dancing troupe on an auspicious day to kick start your new business!

Shed Those Unwanted Pounds
Weight gain is something that many people battle with, especially during the holidays. Beginning with Thanksgiving, and continuing through Christmas and the New Year, you may find yourself experiencing weight problems. What most people haven’t considered is that Feng Shui and weight loss can often go hand in hand, and the practice of the philosophy of Feng Shui may actually help you combat the urge to overeat during the holidays and throughout the entire year. Learning how to use Feng Shui to your advantage to fight weight gain will lead to a healthier lifestyle. You no longer have to live with the regret of over indulgence during the holidays if you incorporate the benefits of Feng Shui and weight loss into your every day life.
The first area to look at with Feng Shui and weight loss are the dishes you use in your kitchen. The characteristics of the dishes that you use for meals, including color, size, and shape, are connected to Feng Shui and weight loss. Although round plates are the most common, circles should be avoided in the kitchen when trying to lose weight with the help of Feng Shui. According to the philosophy of Feng Shui, circles are connected with mental activity. For those seeking weight loss, you do not want to encourage mental activity that is related to eating. The best type of kitchenware to shop for when optimizing your kitchen’s Feng Shui are square dishes and plates. When it comes to color, orange is a great pick, including any shade of orange. In Feng Shui, orange is associated with the concept of union. Using orange dishes will bring a union of your goals and desired actions when it comes to eating and losing weight. Another tip for Feng Shui and weight loss in the kitchen is to use dishes without a shiny or glossy finish. Such surfaces will draw attention to the dish, which is something you want to avoid when working towards weight loss. A dull finish, like you find with earthenware, is desired for optimal Feng Shui.
There are other elements that you can manipulate within the kitchen to help with Feng Shui and weight loss. One important idea to keep in mind is that it is beneficial to shield the view of the kitchen from the line of sight originating at the front door. One easy way to do this is to hang curtains over the door of the kitchen, including beaded curtains. When it comes to colors that you incorporate in your kitchen design, there are a few colors that are believed to curb appetites and discourage eating. Black, blue, and burgundy are some nice dark colors to utilize in your kitchen for encouraging Feng Shui and weight loss. A good place to use these colors are with place mats and tablecloths. You will especially want to place these colors near the refrigerator. A final physical aspect that you can manipulate in your kitchen to improve Feng Shui is clutter. Be sure to remove any clutter in the room in order to eliminate bad chi and encourage a clean area with positive chi.
One process that may improve Feng Shui and weight loss is the practice of prayer before meals. This type of prayer does not have to be religious, it is simply used to quiet your mind before a meal and recall your hopes for losing weight. During this short prayer, or mantra, you should also remind yourself of the portion sizes you wish to eat. Reminding yourself of the control you intend to exercise during the meal will help you when it comes to following through on your intentions.
The kitchen isn’t the only area of the house that you should concentrate on when it comes to Feng Shui and weight loss. Improving positive chi throughout your entire house will bring about the best chances for weight loss success. One way to bring Feng Shui to the entire house is to place mirrors in different rooms and hallways. This way you will be able to frequently catch a glimpse of yourself which should encourage you to continue with your weight loss goals. It is also beneficial to use a mirror when exercising or participating in another active. The feeling of movement will bring positive chi. Another way to encourage a presence of positive chi throughout the house is to use the color red. Red is a color of energy, and will help you to become active and stay active as you move about your house.
Remember, use red throughout the house to encourage Feng Shui and weight loss with an energetic and active lifestyle. Use dark colors such as blues and blacks in the kitchen to minimize food cravings and impulses to eat more than is necessary. Decorate your home with mirrors and carefully select the best kind of dishes. These simple tips will bring Feng Shui into your home along with an ability to achieve weight loss goals.

The Little Known Secret About Wealth Vases and How To Make Them
One of the more interesting accessories for a feng shui enthusiast to include in their home is the wealth vase, a vase filled with personal items that are precious to the owner, which is said to attract luck.
To make your own luck vase, find a beautiful and, preferably, valuable vase to hold your precious items. The vase can be made of earth elements or metal, although earth vases are more effective.
Earth vases can be made from porcelain, crystal or clay, while metal element vases can be made of copper, brass, silver, or gold.
If you are designing your vase to serve as an interesting decorative item, crystal will allow you to see the items inside the vase, but any of the above materials will do if you cannot afford a solid gold vase.
The best shape for a wealth vase is one with a wide opening that narrows to a more slender neck and then widens to a squat, sturdy body. This way, wealth energy can flow easily into the vase and then settle in the broader bottom of the vase, where it will remain and gather more wealth for years to come. The vase can be any size that you like. It must have a cover of some sort, preferably a matching lid of the same material.
To assemble your wealth vase, begin with the right attitude. Know that you are assembling your vase to bring prosperity to your family for many years to come. This is not a get-rich-quick spell, it is purely a wish for your entire family to accumulate wealth for a long time, and a desire for no member of your family to ever be poor. If you make your wealth vase with the right attitude, you are sending a signal to the universe to manifest your wishes for you! This method of making the wealth vase is very powerful.
The most essential ingredients should go into your vase first is the soil, food and then the symbols of prosperity. The soil should be placed in the bottom first, and if possible, it should be the soil from the garden of a wealthy person. This is especially lucky if you have received the soil as a gift. You want the good chi of a wealthy home in the bottom of the vase.
Next, add three, six or nine Chinese coins tied with red string. Then fill half of the vase with seven types of semi-precious stones, like amethyst, citrine, clear quartz, topaz, tiger’s eye, malachite, coral, lapis lazuli, sodalite, cornelian, jade, pearl, jasper, aquamarine, crystal, rose quartz, or turquoise.
The essential items for your wealth vase are:
a) A figure if a Wealth God (can be any Wealth God you feel an affinity with)
b) Five Gem Globes to signify wealth from all directions
c) Assorted crystal chips to signify wealth from the earth
d) Gold bars – contemporary symbols of wealth
e) Gold ingot – ancient symbols of wealth
f) Faux diamonds to signify the most precious treasures
g) Wish-fulfilling jewels to make all your aspirations manifest
h) 3 brass coins tied with red/gold string for current wealth
i) 9 emperor coins for wealth under all circumstances
j) Semi-precious stones for accumulation of assets
k) A lock coin to safeguard your wealth
l) I-ching coins to pacify all obstacles
m) Six smooth crystal balls for harmony in the family
n) 5 types of food to signify abundance
o) A Ru Yi to signify power and management of the household
Whatever you use to fill your vase, it should fill completely to the top. If there is still a gap at the top, fill it the rest if the way with semi-precious stones.
If you have used an earth element vase, place it in the southwest or northeast corner of your home. If you used a metal vase, place it in the west or northwest corner.
When your vase is finished you must close it and cover it with five colored cotton cloth (to signify the five elements) and tie it tight with five strings of five colors. It should be kept somewhere away from where others can see it, and never facing the front door, as this will drain the wealth luck from the vase. The best place to store your wealth vase is the inside of your cupboard in your own bedroom.

The Map Of Your Life – Do You Know Where You Are Going?
The idea of Feng Shui is appealing to most people. It seems like a simple way to create harmony in your life as well as introduce changes that you want to happen. However, most people aren’t quite sure how to use it, why it works, and the overall meaning of the word itself. In terms of answering all of these questions, the use of a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map is the best place to start.
The Feng Shui Ba-Gua map is simply a device used to determine where energy changes might need to be made. Shaped as an octagon, it is broken up into nine different areas, each typically associated with a certain life aspect that will be affected by subsequent changes. There is also a yin and yang symbol that is placed in the central section of this shape, and a part of this ninth section. When using the Ba-Gua map in your home, you can stretch the shape to fit a square as well, simply creating sides coinciding with the areas that would have been in the octagon.
The nine different areas of a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map might differ in names and phrasing, but they typically include: career, helpful people and travel, wisdom, creativity and children, health, family relationships, love and relationships, wealth, and fame. Each of these sections correlates with a section of the home or of a room in order to show where changes and adjustments might need to made. Because each of these areas is a part of your life, it’s a good idea to think about making changes in each.
The purpose of the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map is to help guide positive energy into certain areas of your home or office. There is also a way to utilize specific colors to correlate with these nine sections in order to promote that balanced and positive harmony that you wish to create. When you take into consideration all of the areas of this kind of map, you will create a life that is happy, successful, and prosperous. Take the map and try to line it up to each room of your house as well as the overall structure of your home to start making changes now.
Breaking down the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map into specific sections, you will learn how to specifically affect these areas of your life by utilizing elements and colors that are associated with each area. Starting with the fame section, you will want to place the Ba-Gua map in the area you are going to decorate, find the fame section, and then work to change things in this section. Primarily, you will want to focus on using the color red in this area as well as the elements of fire and wood. So, you might want to place some sort of red, wooden decoration in this space of your home.
Moving to the love and relationships section of a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map, you will want to keep in mind that this is related to the color pink and to the elements of fire and earth. Typical ways of representing this energy include using pink candles in the décor. In family relationships, you will want to know that green, blue, and black are all positive colors to use. And as water is the element associated with this section, a picture of a water scene might work well to add energy.
Health concerns or just maintenance are related to yellow, brown, and orange on a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map. The elements of earth and fire are also focal points that you can incorporate into this area. Creativity and children relate to the color yellow as well as earth tones, plus the element of metal. In these areas, you will want to consider metallic wall hangings for the design.
In terms of the area related to wisdom on a Feng Shui Ba-Gua map, you will want to use green and black in your décor adjustments as well as the element earth. A nice potted plant is a great way to incorporate both into these related colors and elements. It also symbolizes growth, which is a good thing when it comes to learning and education. For travel and helpful people, the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map shows that the white and black are helpful colors, while the metal element can create positive energy. Perhaps a statue in metal with a black finish can be a good way to create energy.
Keeping in mind balance at all times, the Feng Shui Ba-Gua map can be a great way to determine what areas in your home need improvement and what others are already doing good for your life. While you don’t have to make changes in every single section right away, it’s good practice to slowly incorporate these tips in order to achieve a peaceful energy flow.
